Remake 007 temple

    This map is the remake of the temple in Goldeneye n64. all the spawns and weapons are placed the same as the original map except of some extra weapons i added . There are two levels to this map and you can get to the top and bottom from both sides. I hope you enjoy one of my favorite maps of all time.

    FX is off so let me know what you think!

    very nice. definatly the best temple remake out there. this was my second favorite. first being Complex. it looks great the forging looks really smooth aswell. but there is one thing i dont like. i see some of the ramps are 45 degree angles, i just think thats too steep. other than that, i cant wait to get some games on it.

    ^ i could be wrong, but i do remember them being that steep in the original game.
    normally steep ramps are somewhat frowned on, but when its a remake i think its ok.

    this is awesome that you did this, this has got to be a favorite for many goldeneye fans.
    ive got 2 questions though:

    why the FX

    and hows the gameplay?
    sometimes these remakes from other games just end up playing terribly in Reach.
    I'm sure FFA rocks on it... but what else???

    Two things, not on the map (I never played Goldeneye) just presentation.
    One, if you take pictures in third person the radar and shields HUD won't appear, which looks a lot better. Second, the FX is ruining the map, it just drains the color from it making it dull and lifeless. DL'd for interest in original map.

    i agree with the FX. they change the gameplay slightly, but the real Temple from goldeneye was grey/brown ish, so it does make the map look more like the original

    i used the FX because it looked cooler and more like the original. the gameplay is awesome in my option.

    this map looks epic. the only this i dislike is the FX effect. its just my opinion i dont like em except in infection. but still it really gives me the feeling im in a real temple. ill give it an 8/10 because of the FX effect and some thigth areas were i couldn't strafe.

    The map looks nice and is big...but I think you could remove the fx to make people happier with the map and then use the extra money to add some more aesthetic value to the map so it looks more pleasing...

    I loved this map from goldeneye, a neat game that was. I bet it will translate alright to reach, maybe a bit too compact though in some areas. I think you could try and redo the 45 degree ramps since they are a bit awkward and generally disliked by the community.

    I recently remade this map and while searching for YouTube gameplay I found this thread. I have used the same picture, and feel the map is measured poorly. The visuals of the map are outstanding, hands down.
    Becausec of the dynamics being off there are small problemb areas like the oversold hallway and the four way door area in the center. Ramps are to steep and the height ratios are wrong.
    Still fun to play just cramped and scaled kind of small for halo. The view in bond was kinda fish eye creating more range of view making the tiny areas look big. Try to compensate this maybe?
    I still love this board.
