specifically, i cannot get my survivor team members to spawn in the location i have specified in forge mode, as opposed to having m survivors also spawning in my zombie hub and the other way around, basically i have the zombie spawns currently labeled "inf_spawn" and game specific marked as true and i have the survivor spawns marked as game specific true also, but "infection" as the gametype label, also i cant get the cameras to work accordingly but this i am not as concerned with as the spawns. any information you could give me would be appreciated as well as your sorce as i have a great deal of maps i have worked long and hard on but have been unable to complete due to misunderstandings with the custom gametype mechanics in forge.
Red=Humans Blue=Infected I'm beyond that's your prob. I don't even mess w/ labels when it comes to infection.
Thankyou sir for the answer but i have already tried this exact method to the ends of the game simply denied the compatability to the infection game type, so if the colors is what is important what do u have the advanced settings set to? what about the symmetry, game specific, and the color is team color or object color? i see many people with my same problem and ive consulted the forums and all answers are too vague pplease someone give me a specific answer as there are many options that can be confused and lead to compatibility issues
Human spawns must be labeled "Inf_Spawn" and Team Color set to red. Zombie spawns must also be labeled "Inf_Spawn" and Team Color set to blue. In addition, in order to be compatible with any Infection gametype, the map must have a Safe Haven (hill marker, labeled "Inf_Haven") present somewhere, regardless of whether you actually use it or not. The Symmetry, Game-Specific and Object Color settings don't matter for core functionality.
alright... so ive tested both of your theories and the result is they both are not compatible with infection.. i have made sure to include the safe haven and have tried multiple attempts with both the team color ideas and putting all the respawn and initial spawn points to infection spawn but stilll nothing........... ugh so frustrating i wish Bungie would make a compriehensive guide for this kind of thing, the official guide in this forum is still too vague
i would love to do that for u sir but am not sure how, it is already on my fileshare under the name mr spaceman infection, how do i post u a link? [br][/br]Edited by merge: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details does that work? [br][/br]Edited by merge: okay i think i got it that time, please anybody interested take a look Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details and if u can find the answer ill make sure to make a post on the official compatability guide [br][/br]Edited by merge: OKAY GUIZE that old link may have been to an old version of the map so now i re uploaded the most current version and the gametype this is the link for the map Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details
I checked it out. You have no haven placed on your map. You need to create a Hill Marker and set its gametype label to "Inf_Haven". Infection will not work unless you do this.
sir i believed you missed the haven located in the rock collection in front of the main base in the map its deffinately there [br][/br]Edited by merge: well crap it seems ur right in that the old variant i initally linked had no marker but i have now updated it thanks to u and its now working i thank everybody involved and will report my final results directly to the compatibility forum
You don't need to put label to your spawn ... It's just time consuming, I've never did that and I've never had a single problem with the spawn in my infections map. The only thing you have to do is to set the team color for your spawn to blue or red and place the Haven with the label.
Depends on whether you're making a pure Infection map or just adding Infection to a competitive one. If it's the former, then yes. You're correct. But if it's the latter, it's a good idea to label your spawns because oftentimes zombies will spawn in places that aren't normally accessible during competitive gameplay, namely on top of roofs and such, and you need to make sure that your spawn points are not usable in any other gametypes besides Infection.
yeah the havens are a must have even for the plain old infection to work at least thats what i found.
