Up Top is a symmetrical map built mainly for objective game types. Forging the bases produced alot of grey but i liked the layout so i stuck with it. Here are a couple of pics ill try and get a walkthrough vid up soon. And a walkthrough vid <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SWbclGF6tFk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I definitely like the layout and design of the bases, as well as that circle rock thing in the middle, however, is there any more than two buildings? Otherwise the gameplay might get a little bland. Lookin' forward to walkthrough vid, also a weapon list would be pleasing to most of us here. All in the best............. ~ Ociee
Initially i wanted to go much larger and build a couple of courtyards with grassy bottoms and curbed walkways, something to jam up those long lobed grenades. I just couldnt find a flat space large enough. My only other complaint is Bungies Budget sucks. Im only left with a few walls and blocks, so building any other structure is pretty much out of the question. Heres a list of weapons youll find around the map. Im a DMR only kind of guy so youll find a few of those laying around. otherwise youve got your basic power weapons, a rocket launcher in the fountain and a sniper rifle located on the second floor of the neutral structure. At the bottom of both bases Youll find a grenade launcher with limited reloads.
I would really like a birds eye view. But im assuming that there is a pretty large vacancy of cover. You say your a DMR guy so I assume open sight lines are what you want but you gotta remember there are more ways to create that other than just open field. Use some platforms and inclines to create such things as L sightlines or even better some choke points with rocks (asylum is a prime example of these techniques).
This map isnt very photogenic so i went ahead and made a walkthrough vid. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SWbclGF6tFk?hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SWbclGF6tFk?hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
