Looking to transfer colleges going into my Sophomore year. Schools I've been looking at: - U of Delaware - Appalachian State - Old Dominion - U of West Florida - U of North Florida - Salisbury - U of Montana If you know anything about these schools let me know. Also, I haven't given up lookin so if you know any other good schools sized between 10-20,000 students with a 2.0 transfer requirement let me know. Thanks. NOTE: interested in Communications.
Go for the highest palm tree/student ratio That would probably be one of the florida ones because afaik there are not palm trees in montana.
University of Wyoming. It's in your size range and is REALLY, REALLY affordable when it comes to Colleges. If you love the outdoors, this place is awesome, if you don't you'll get bored quick, I promise. I know you said your degree is communications, but in case you're contemplating changing, the engineering and business departments are top-notch. The modern and classical language departments as well are astounding. Feel free to P.M. me if you want some more info. I know picking a college is agonizingly difficult. Also, if you are contemplating Florida, you should get acquainted with their 'Zombie attack response plan'. I kid you not, they have a contingency plan for a zombie attack. Zombie Contingency Plan
Lol, I won't lie, the Florida schools hold their appeal mostly because of the weather and beaches. Yep. Lol I am a fan of both. I have not visited any of these schools and being from Illinois it is likely the only one I would have the chance to visit is UDel because I vacation out there during the summer. Therefore, I've been digging though their websites and looking for any kind of reviews I can find about them before I make my choice.
Yea, I keep hearing that. I also hear campus security is a joke and people get mugged constantly on campus.
Why not look at schools in Illinois? It's cheaper since your a resident, and a lot has pretty good education. ISU, Eastern, and Northern are all good schools that aren't too expensive.
YOU VACATION IN DELAWARE? The UD main campus is literally 15 minutes from my house. Being a junior in high school, it's one of my top choices right now. The campus is pretty nice and there's a main street with a bunch of locally owned shops and restaurants if that kind of thing is important to you. I don't know a whole lot about the academics program - I know mostly only for my major - but you can find info on their programs on their website or a bunch of website comparing colleges.
I looked at pretty much all the state schools as well as a ton of private schools in Illinois when applying to colleges the first time around. I wasn't that satisfied with what ISU and NIU had to offer, I had no shot at UofI, and Eastern, Western, and Southern aren't exactly that great. Also, after living in the Chicago suburbs my entire life the Midwest in general has run out of appeal to me. I currently go to college in Michigan and it seems very similar and not too exciting. I have a lot of family out East and I've always liked the coast. It seems like a great new place to explore with plenty of opportunity while in college and after graduation. Yea, every year Bethany Beach. I won't lie, one of the big appeals of UDel is how close it is to the ocean with Bethany, OC, Rehoboth, Dewey and the rest of those beach towns. UDel is definitely my first choice, I have yet to hear anything that negative about it. It's on the rise as a well-respected and known east coast university, it's a great party school, the chicks are all dimes, and not far from the beaches. I'm praying I got the grades to get in.
