    Team Donkey Kong
    (1-8 players)

    UPDATED: Version 1.1
    -Changed objects
-Added extra one way shields at the bottem
-Impossible to steal other people's flag
    -Cages improved
-Now multi-team, Orange and Green team boxes added
    -Additional game options changed

Team Donkey Kong is a similar remake to the classic Donkey Kong arcade game. You may also recognize it from past Halo 2 mod and Halo 3 remakes. This map features a very large downward 45 degree slope in which you must dodge all of the tumbling objects to reach the top.

The map uses a stockpile based gametype. The goal is simple, each team must collect as many flags before the time runs out. To collect a flag, a teammate must climb to the top, grab the flag, then jump back down to their base to score. Which ever team collects the most flags wins.

    Here are some screenshots:

In order to reach the top, you must dodge everything in your way

At the top lies the damsels in distress, the flags. "Donkey Kong" (guardians) will do anything in his power to stop you from scoring a point by throwing dice n' stuff at you.

Once at the bottem you may drop the flag into the box (by pressing Y) and will eventually collect your flags.

NOTE: FPS lag is almost completely diminished. However, object loading for some players seem to be slower than normal (this is unfixable). For best gameplay, play with no more than 8 people, along with a decent host.

so do the obstacles spawn in the air randomly or is there a "donkey kong" player who launches them down there and once you make it on top the slope, do you have to go back down in the obstacle-ridden path or a separate path?

The obstacles spawn in a timed order, so no there isnt a Donkey Kong player. Its down the same path

Jerk! You didn't put F4LLN Sp1R1t in the list! >=| I was with TJ when we did the game of 3 people.

Ernyway, loved the "damsel" idea. I wouldn't throw Peach in the "firehouse" fireplace though, cuz she keeps respawning at the top of the map. =P Very creative, and the only good, version of Donkey Kong. Wish it was in TGIF. My only complaint was the special 1 ways at the bottom of the map. I didn't like having to aim for the "firehouse" doorway when I fell.

i see, but my other question was (just to clarify), when you get the flag on top of the slope, how do you get back down to score it in your base?

Jump down or run down. Must people jump because its faster and safer. Once you get to your base just go into the according side and drop it inside the collection box. The collection box collects all flags every 15 seconds.

    I Like It

Nice game. DL the original and it was good fun. My only dislike is the score system. Why not have the flags spawn at the bottom, and players carry the flags to the top of the hill? Once at the top, they put them in their respective holes?

    Anyhow, definitely a DL!

Now, imagine what happens when someone dies halfway up the slope. They'd have to go back up to the exact spot where the flag dropped rather than take their own route through the map. Also, what if two people put their flags in the collection boxes within fifteen seconds of eachother?

The system Darth's got right now is ideal. It puts less responsibility on the player while adding to the length of the map. Great job putting the map together, Darth. I'm honestly loving your minigames.

I remember playing this in customs with you last week or the week before, and I was playing it again tonight.

The map is fantastic, and the little touches, such as the custom powerups and the incline at the base entrances are great. Its very balanced and incredibly fun.
