    First thread. Woot.

I guess I've been working on this map for awhile, I was really intrigued by past city maps (Headlong, Terminal, Turf) and wanted something similar in layout.

Honestly, though, this map came as a result of a variety of failed maps that will never see the light of day. Oh well.

I primarily focused on the attention to large details, I wanted you to feel like you were actually in a city. It didn't seem right if you were in this random sector of nowhere where a skyscraper had popped up. That said I spent a lot of time in ODST trying to get an idea of that city feel...multi-tiered vertical combat.

That said, I took a lot of inspiration from ODST, Terminal, District (Halo 2 Vista) and New Mombasa (Halo: CE). It also has a similar concept to Narrows from Halo 3, players may notice similar combat.

The biggest thing a player will notice is the Overpass, which dominates the length of the map and gives the map its name. Underneath the Overpass on Red and Blue sides are Man Cannons, which can propel each team to the top center where the Rocket Launcher spawns. Both above and below the overpass have wide fields of view, I tried to keep DMR power down to a minimum. However, there are multiple avenues for assault, including taking using the Restaurant or Night Club to quickly flank enemies below the map.

Attentive players may also notice subtle changes in external map geometry, I wanted to give the appearance that the city changed throughout the day and make you feel much more environmental. I experimented with having different FX based on the gametype to simulate different periods of the day, but many of those FX are hard on the eyes. Oh well.

Aesthetics wise, this map isn't superb, (the nightclub may need some tune ups) but I tried to focus on feel just as much as gameplay. That said, this is still an early release and I'd like to be able to get some feedback for a later date and release a much better form. I am asking for testing, but I also want to at least get some work out there and make some progress on the white board.

Although, I was disappointed by the lack of lights, I wanted to use heavy lighting to make the billboards on the side of skyscrapers glow...but...2 lights? c'mon!

Check it out, give me some feedback and enjoy.

    THINGS TESTERS ALREADY NOTICED:
-Ceiling kill zone needs to be raised
    -Overpass may require more cover
    -Nightclub seems kind of shabby
-Spawns may need some more work

    WEAPON LIST:
    -Rocket Launcher
    -Sniper Rifle
    -Concussion Rifle x2
    -DMR x4
    -Needle Rifle x2
    -Shotgun x2

Just a bump on DaWorsePlyrHere's question. Have the noted problems in the maps been repaired yet?

The map looks awesome btw. :D (Y)

Many of them should be updated by this point, but they may still remain in parts. Obviously, I want to get all bug testing in before I release v3, which is hopefully the last one. This is a solid enough release but needs some more work.

I want to insure gameplay is solid before continuing on to other gametypes and thought a full release would be a decent idea.

-Spawns should be much better, but there simply may need to be more. It's not predictable, at least not in free for all.
-Kill ceiling can be hit if the Jetpacker goes the whole way up, but it's relatively hard to hit without going nuts on the Jetpack.
-The club will be fixed to make it look sexier, however gameplay will likely remain the same within the area.

And thanks for the compliments to whoever said the map looked awesome, I really focused on making something cool and unique.
