CREATOR'S NOTE: The hidden "YIKES" factor was was a fun idea for this map... for a week. And it worked pretty good for those that DLed it. For anyone who was wondering what it was, I'm putting in some pics of the whole boat. Overpowered? Kinda, HA!

The little River Boat that could. River Boats like this - well... not exactly like this - were used through out the 1800's and early 1900's as cargo haulers, barge pushers and tugs. A few still exit and are working vessels today. This boat has been significantly upgraded for the 26th century work load.

This is definitely an Aesthetic map but my friends and I have a good time playing FFA and Teams at a game we call "King of the Wheelhouse" with Assault Rifles, Magnums, nades and no abilities. It’s very close quarters, very fast... life expectancy... very short.

NOTE: I didn’t show the whole map in the screenshots for a reason. Taking comments from my friends who have seen it, I’ve come to realize there is a definite YIKES factor to seeing it for the first time and it would be completely blown if I showed it in the shots. I hope these pics of the boat are sufficient enough to interest you in downloading and looking the boat over, and seeing the rest. I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

And, I would kindly ask those who do want to reply that in your comments to please try and preserve the YIKES factor for others. Thanks ROCK.

Wow, nice, very nice. But it doesn't seem very big. I know you said about the "YIKES" factor, but what exactly does that mean, if you don't mind telling. Also, his many players does this support fro FFA? But I will download and find out myself a lot later.

Thanks Anthrax. You're right, it's not very big, at least from what you can see from the screenshots, but we had 5 for FFA on it and Teams of 2 and 3 fighting for the Wheelhouse, it's a slugfest. You could put a KTH marker around the Wheelhouse if you wanted to make it a real game but we just play in Forge. As far as the YIKES factor, that's why I didn't put the whole map in the post, it would give it away. It's a fun YIKES though.

I love all the details on the river boat especially in the wheelhouse and I definitely got that Yikes when I saw the entire map. Good job.

Thanks Warrior and JD. I appreciate you looking at my map and your nice comments. It was my first shot at detail in a map and I think it went well. The detail part took about as long as building the rest of the map. And now that you've seen the whole map, you know how slow I was at it, HA!

    Thanks, ROCK

XD You weren't kidding about the "YIKES" factor. It's a nice attachment, but overall it kinda ruins the feel to the map. It does show our skills though so I give credit to that, but I mean just "YIKES" you really went all out on it! Love the map still though.

Thanks for checking out my map hollow. I appreciate the nice comments. I'm not sure what you meant by ruined feel of the map because the feel is the YIKES factor and so far it seems... it worked. Got a good laugh out of your use of YIKES in complementing my forging skills, thanks. ROCK

The wow factor for this map was just as amazing as Bird of Prey. I really like your theme of the wow factor it really adds to your unique style and it definitely makes your maps that much better. The detail you put into the "normal" portions of your maps is extensive and then when you realize what the wow factor is your jaw drops. Great job DL and liked, looking forward to more of your work.

Thanks Delta. I appreciate the great comments. Yep, that Yikes factor was part of the scenario in this one. I just recently put the whole boat in the thumbnail and main pics because I don't think just the little boat alone got too much interest. This was my first detail map and I learned alot from doing it. To me, it's hard to be a good Aesthetic map maker and not use a lot of detail. Thanks again - ROCK
