Download Shelter Shelter is a map that I designed during the span between when I stopped forging in Halo 3 and when Reach came out. The map features a sloping top floor, 2 lifts, water running bottom middle, and an extremely unique layout for a Halo map. The idea behind the map was really to make something that hadn't been done before, and to the best of my knowledge I succeeded in that. The map is mainly designing to play CTF, but it also supports slayer, and I will add more game-types if people want. The only power weapon on the map is a Rocket Launcher that spawns top middle every 3 minutes. There is also a jetpack in each base that is extremely helpful in navigating the map. An interesting feature in the map is a one way shield door that is located above each flag spawn. The purpose of this shield door is to allow players to make it out of their base to the top, but to not allow the top to drop down. This helps to make a coordinated push out of your spawns a lot easier, and makes the map far more balanced. The map is hard to get a good feel through from pictures due to the fact that it is so enclosed, so please download the map and take a look around it before judging it. Wow, looks like this could make for a great close quarters map. Its a nice blend of the somewhat open top area and the confined feeling bottom! ps lovin the curved roof
i played this map and i thought it ran well...the only problem was the shield doors it slowed down the game play for flag. there wasnt any chance to get a desperate nades in the back because the shield doors deflected them
