Its been a while since ive forged, so i decided to make a map. Anchorage is an asymmetrical FFA map based inside of a cave. With a bit of tweaking I think Anchorage could play well in team games too, such as flag and oddball. Let me know what you think, im always interested in getting some feedback :0
This looks immensely boss, but also very small. There may be an entire area un-pictured though. I'd love to test this sometime if you need any testers, send me a FR. Anyways, good luck, hope it plays well.
This does actually look incredibly badass, and Im really looking forward to release. Any word on player count?
Yes there is. The pictures mainly focus on the middle of Anchorage but there plenty of side paths and hidden places, not to mention the map is 3 stories high. And thankyou for offering to help test but sadly it's impossible. I dont have a gold membership so I cant join or host customs and I cant even upload the map to my fileshare. Im not really sure what to do from here Oh and would it help if I added a few pictures in, maybe even a top view? The map is built for 8 player Mlg FFA, so it should be able to comfortably fit up to 8 players
looks nice. BTW also downloaded cellar, going to try that out. I often used forged map slayer as a break from all of my crash dummi(COUGH* ahem) testers from diiiIIII...I mean falling in drop pods.
How do I go about making a trial membership? Are you referring to the 3 free months of live you get with a new xbox?
Every time you sign up a new gamertag, that gamertag gets three free months of live. There are no restrictions on how many of these "trial" accounts you're allowed to have. You can literally do this forever if you wanted to. After you sign up a new account, you just transfer the maps from your main account to your secondary (The preffered method is simply playing a game on the said map with both accounts, then having your secondary account download it from its recent history), then upload them to your secondary account's File Share. The cool part is that even if your secondary account runs out of Live, the fileshare will still remain exactly as it was. You can use this technique for an unlimited number of pictures, map links, etc (Assuming your Xbox has enough memory left to support mulitiple gamertags, and the files associated with them). Cheers, Haris.
lol The map looks like it is designed well; I'm liking the corridors where ARs work, but there is still room for DMRs. The grassy/rocky parts look really natural too. The only thing I don't like is the floor on the first picture. Those blocks just aren't ideal for a solid floor, since the glass parts interlock oddly with the solid parts. I would suggest using the underside of the platform pieces, since they are mostly a solid color and are still someone flat. Good luck
Thankyou Hairsales, i tried it and it works. I can believe I never knew you could do it that way Unfortunately there was no other alternative to the floor your talking about. The platform pieces look great and I would use them but there is another 2 levels under that floor and to change it would mean cchanging the whole design of the map. Thankyou for the suggestion though, I did try it
