Hey guys, just posted this weeks vocal cover, let me know what you think. Also I tried something different for the recording this time by editing the song in after while I listened to it on my ipod. This is because when I would scream the camera wouldnt pick up any other audio (guitars, drums, ect.) Should I keep doing it like this, or switch to the way it was before? Also I have been working on my mids/lows, and while they do still suck, they are better then my first cover, so I am improving. I am also working on better breathing, but that might be a long process since I have been breathing from my chest all my life and now I have to learn to breathe with my stomach (diaphragm.) From this point on though, I will be training myself to use my diaphragm to breathe at all times until I can do it without thinking about it. YouTube - Attack Attack! - Smokahontas Vocal Cover Last I would just like to ask that you guys dont turn this into an Attack Attack! hate thread. I know that people have a very love/hate relationship with them, but I would like the focus to be on the cover, not whether or not you like the band, thanks.
Who doesn't love Attack Attack!? Hardest metal known to man, next to Dragonforce, of course. Your screams and vocals don't have much shape nor range to them. I'm not sure if that's because the song you chose, but screams really need a push to keep them interesting due to an over saturated amount of bands that sing like this. Your vocals were very monotone, but again, could be because of your song choice. Take liberties with a cover, ask yourself the question "why would people listen to this over the original?", otherwise people will do just that.
