Versecute (a combination of the word versus and execute) is an asymmetrical, close-quarters map, for 1v1, 2v2, or 4 player free-for-all. This is the first competitive map I've ever submitted to Forgehub and it was created for the sole purpose of being entered into the 2v2 Throwdown contest. The main goal when I was building this map was to create a very tightly-knit map that felt really fast-paced and offered an interesting yet simple layout for players to work as a team, either together, or on opposite sides of the map.

I've never been a fan of arena-style maps and I wanted to try and create a slightly asymmetrical map that still felt completely fair on both sides. As the map was tested over time, I felt as if this goal was met and no players ever felt handicapped based on which side they were starting matches on. The weapon layout was put together so that not one team can ever really hold full control of power weapons at all times and with a little brainpower and team work, either can come back after a punishing kill streak from the opposing team.

    And now for some pictures:

I'm pretty proud of this map and although it may not win the Throwdown contest, I encourage you guys to check it out and give it a play. If there's enough requests for it, I'll put some effort into implementing more gametypes for this map. Please leave some feedback and let me know what you think.

I'm surprised no one's posted in this yet. This map looks great! I like the look of it, and I feel that it blends outdoor and indoor gameplay nicely. However, could you add an overview? Because I'm having a hard time visualizing just how big this map is.

Definatly looks like a lot of fun. It looks like it would be great with 2x2 oddball, but its whatever u think man. Great job.

It's a fairly small map but, not small enough to the point where it feels cramped, in my opinion. I think its size works perfectly for 2v2. I totally forgot to post the team loadout pictures but I'm definitely going to get on it. I might draw out a small overview of the map in Photoshop too. I'll update the thread when I get home from class. Thanks for the feedback. If you guys give it a play through, let me know what worked and what didn't.

Sure, I havnt look at it yet in forge, but y not. And if anyone is intrested, If u could take a look at a couple of mine and see what you think, that would be awesome. I havnt gotten much feedback from them so I dnt really know what to do.

I just took look at the map in forge and felt about the same way when I saw the pictures, although I think the max players should be six, cause it seems just a little big for 2x2, but looks perfect for 3x3, but thats just from looking at it. U did a great job designing the different levels giving each easy access to the other, and i also like how you gave the ceiling a little decoration rather than leaving it plain.

Thanks for the feedback. Once you get a few games in with a 2v2 you'll notice that things start to feel really tight and you're never stuck looking for someone to kill for more than 20 seconds. I updated the last two pictures to give a better overview of the map. I'm going to try and setup something for 3v3 compatibility and maybe a few new game types.

I'll definitely give your maps a check out when I have a bit of time. They look well forged from the screenshots.

Thanks man, most of them are symmetrical, mainly because I have a hard time making Asymmentrical maps work well, so any advice for that would also be great. I'll also try playing Versecute later tonight when some more of my friends are online.

Yea man, just tryed it with 2x2 and had alot of fun. Everyone had something positive to say. If there was anything wrong, it would be the lack of ammo, but it keeps the game from being to chaotic, so great job.

Has anyone else managed to get a game in on this map that might have some feedback? I'm currently working on adding more gametypes for this map but I feel like the effort might be pointless if nobody's really paying attention to this map.
