Introduction What started out as a remake of the heroic map turned into a symmetrical map that plays much the same. With very similar respawns and weapon spawnings, this map gives the original much credit where credit is due. Layout and Design Weapons & Grenades Concussion Rifle x2 DMR x6 Magnum x2 Needle Rifle x2 Needler x2 Plasma Pistol x1 Plasma Repeater x2 Rocket Launcher x1 Sniper Rifle x2 Spiker x4 Shotgun x1 Frag Grenade x8 Plasma Grenade x4 You will find that most weapons and jumps are true to the original Foundry. While many changes were made to the map to fit the reach gameplay engine (armor abilities, shorter jump height, etc.) I tried to keep most of the little things that made Foundry memorable in gameplay. Where there once were bubble shields, there is now concussion rifles and there is nothing where the brute shots once were. Like I previously stated, I tried to keep many small things about Foundry the same. There are still four major respawn areas and the backrooms are still accessible but are now lined with fusion coils and the window frames do not exist to discourage camping. Also I left the top of the Rocket Launcher spawn available for all players, not just those with jet packs, by adding a small cover that can be jumped on and off of the reach it (since there is no deployable gravlift). I also evenly spaced the plasma pistol spawn and the rocket launch spawn so that the jump can still be made without the aid of sprint or jetpack, mind you it would be much easier to do so with one of the two. And I apologize in advance for not coming up with anything to replace the power drain. That was lack of ideas on my part. Outro This is my first reach post and my first post in a long time. I would like to thank everyone who has read through my wall of text and took the time to download and look at my map. I would also like to thank the Testers Guild, or more specifically xArctic Hunterx, iM x JaKsoN, silverbullet299, and HiddenGamer360, for testing the map and providing very helpful feedback. I look forward to submitting more maps in the months to come! ^_^
Nice use of simple objects in an enclosed environment. However, this map could have probably appeared better if symmetrical. From the images, it looks pretty straigtforward.
