    What a long and windy road it was to come upon this final design for a map.

    Originally i had the idea to have a map where one person dropped flags through three holes, to be knocked out of the way by concussion rifles, rockets, or grenades. Little did I know that nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, can deflect or alter the course of falling flags.

    Therefore, i almost scrapped my map.

    Then along came B0ANERGES. While we were talking about forging in general this map came up and and i told him how the flags wouldn't be deflected, and after a while we came upon the idea to not deflect the flags, but deflect the humans, and FreeFallFlag v2 was born.

    The game requires 3 blue spartans (defenders), but dont worry if your custom game party doesnt want to cooperate and more than 3 people switch to blue, the map fixes that problem on its own. The rest of the people in the lobby are red team (capturers). Everyone starts with sprint, gravity hammer, but the designated shooters get a concussion rifle!!!

    This map is set up with 4 drop chutes, which connect the upper deck (where the flags spawn) to the lower deck (where the flags are captured).

    On the upper deck there is 1 red spartan flag dropper, and 1 blue spartan flag dropper. (everyone on map is invincible, no one dies in my game)

    * The tiles around the flag holes in the lower deck ARE colored, but they managed not to show color in this game??!?!!

    If a flag is captured by the red team on deck 2 before it plummets through the level, and placed in their capture zone:

    but if red team fails to intercept the falling flag, it falls into blue's zone (oops)

    *This area is not accessible to any player, only flags inhabit this land.

    Sounds easy enough, right. WRONG.
    Not only are the flags hurtling down so fast it is near impossible to intercept them, there are two well positioned, bottomless clip enabled, concussion weilding, defenders whose only goal is to keep you away from where the flags fall through (your lucky its only two).

    it helps if you crouch... it helps alot... like alot alot

    but lucky for you, you have numbers on your side, and you have a drop shield protection

    which is your only protection from the concussion onslaught, and, through skillfull communication with your dropping teammate, can land you several points before it is burst. There is only 1 drop shield currently on the map, better get a jump on it if u want it (I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS)

    First team to stockpile 100 flags, about 4 minutes in full lobby, 15 second flag respawn, WINS.

    remember i said that extra blue members could be forced to switch to red team, oh noes, well, here is the box that does it. All extra blue team, as well as any other team except red, spawns in this room, to be confronted by a soft kill zone. Better change to red team, or experience boringness and death like no other while you hear shouts of joy through your mic. GO AHEAD, break my rules.

    Because the game consists of 1 red and 1 blue dropper, both teams can communicate up which chute they want their flags dropped in, color coded. The red team may want to call out which chute they have a drop shield protecting, and the blue team which chute they are gonna bombard with concussion shots.

    This map is amazingly addictive and i hope you have a good time playing it.

    Please leave feedback, whether i need to make changes (infinite ammo instead of bottomless clip for concussion rifle, lower final score, number of drop shields, anything really, and ill definitly try to help alleviate the problem)

    Definately inf. ammo instead of bottomless clip. I can't play this because I don't have Live but I can tell bottomless clip would make it way to hard to score.

    thats what i was thinking too
    i never got a full lobby on, i think the max i got was 8 for a playtest, so you might be right
    ill test it out

    Here is an updated gametype with infinite ammo rather than bottomless clip, the game also plays to 75 captures total so the game is faster, tell me which you think is better

    Oh great! I remember testing this map recently with you and a couple of people. I cannot say that this was NOT challenging. You truly out the ultimate test in the hands of the players in this game. It has the twist of a great idea or concept, then turns it into fun with the extra spice of difficulty. Great job and I will definitely download the latest version!

    The reason the objects aren't staying the right color is because you need change the Object Color (last option) not just Team Color. Hope that helps :)
