I've never lived anywhere in the western part of the U.S. I've always lived in the midwest (Kansas,Illinois,Indiana) So you can imagine I'm a bit excited about going somewhere new, especially Las Vegas. Cuz honestly all midwestern states look the same to me and I've been living here my whole life. If anyone knows anything about the people, schools, community in Vegas or anything like that please share with me >.< edit- and I'm not some hill billy hick with an accent btw I'm just a normal dude oh and another thing, I'll be moving there in the summer and starting my Senior year in high school there fresh, just in time to fill out college applications and all that fun stuff :/ any advice regarding that would be appreciated
I suppose the best way to see what Las Vegas would be like is to play Rainbow Six 3: New Vegas. I would probably choose #1, as it's a more accurate representation of what it's like, with the social class boundaries and RPG's. The levels were quite easy to play through, so you shouldn't have very much trouble getting from A to B. Just carry a vest at all times, lock & load at every intersection etc. Other than that you will be fine. Keep an eye out for terrorists looking to make a martyr of themselves, particularly the female ones, as you could find yourself the subject of collateral damage. Best of luck buddy.
The economy sucks out in Vegas but it means you can get stuff for cheap if you have a steady job. Jobs aren't easy to come by though. The community is pretty sweet and although there can be a lot of traffic, the drivers there aren't as bad as Chicago. Unless you're going to California, then you're screwed. College can be pretty expensive -- especially if you're going to university out there. I lol'd.
I love how completely serious that entire response was. <3 I've never been to vegas, but I've heard things. What happens in vegas, ends up on facebook. That's neat that you get to move somewhere like that. If I moved, I would want it to be somewhere big, like Vegas or NYC. The only thing I do know is that there are some crazy magicians. You should see a show or something. Best wishes in Vegas my man.
That sucks that you have to start at a new school for your last year of high school. I lived in LV all throughout elementary school and its a pretty cool place, but I wouldn't know much about what there is to do for teenagers there. I hear there is a lot of straight edge faggots though. and My friend told me her school has 8000 kids in it.
Don't get addicted to gambling. Instead, waste your money on whores...err... I mean "escorts". You're gonna lose money either way. May as well go out with a "bang"... and get a free parting gift of some STD.
Oh yeah, residents of Las Vegas get a lot of free tickets to shows. Although, I must warn you, some are small venues or just downright boring. Basically, they need to make it look popular and make money off of drinks. Tip the person who seats you and you'll get better seats (maybe even a VIP section).
This is true. My step uncle was president of Treasure Island and its so easy to get free **** if you know the right people. Also, my landlord got drunk one night and admitted to my parents that she worked at area 51. Apparently there is like a secret airplane that goes through McCarren airport and flys them to work everyday.
Is this **** really necessary? Who the **** cares if they aren't all drug addicts like you? You're just freaking ignorant.
Keyword "to me". I have no interest in getting to know them since I can't have fun with them. It's not really ironic since they probably don't give a **** what I think, nor do I care how they see me. So its all pretty redundant anyway. Just a simple conclusion I have come to which I like to sum up with the word "******" because it helps me sleep at night.
Im having a hard time finding a job where I am right now so nothing new there. And isnt college expensive in general? Or is it more costly down in that area for a particular reason? I'm not looking forward to taking the SAT if they dont take ACT's since I plan on going to a college in state so the tuition is a bit cheaper. ah not that bad only 1 year, I think I can stick it out
