A simple and symmetrical map, Luminosity plays great with Team Slayer, CTF and Assault gametypes. My goal with Luminosity was to create an easy to understand yet dynamic and interesting map that would be great for 4v4 or 5v5. I was always a fan of The Pit and used that as a general inspiration for the map. Each base is small with 3 entrances/exit into them. Each doorway takes you out into a unique and very identifiable space so you should never feel lost. I like the how people used to rush to rockets in The Pit and feel like I've done a good job of recreating that feel by putting the rockets on the side of the map directly in the middle . Outside the center of each base is a sniper rifle that again achieves that same feel as The Pit in which you need to rush to get it and be on your guard once you have it from the other sniper. The center building does a good job separating all the playing areas and contains a hole in the center which you can drop in and grab a sword. This lower room is connected by one long tunnel which will take you to either of the side bases. I was attempting to move the thread from casual maps to competitive maps based on another users comments. When I thought about it, it did make more sense as a competitive map. My intention was to delete the other post but it appears as if I can not do that. I was not trying to break rules or double post. Are you an admin? Can you remove the thread from the casual maps forum?
Dont worry your not in trouble that happens alot. OT: your map looks sick, especially the aesthetics. You should add a longer description and a weapon list to get a better feel for the map. This maps looks super competitive too. Great job.
The architecture of this map looks sick. It looks so neatly forged and very creative. It definetly looks professional and is probably great for gameplay. The aesthetics are very nice too btw. But could you maybe post a better overview? It would help, thanks. Otherwise this looks great.
