Hi, here is Pillar of Autumn 2.0 it was the first map I made in forge, A lot had been modified and changed since the first version, so hopefully this should be the be the final version of this! heres some pics! Blue base is on the right, where the attackers spawn. access to the autumn is either via the mancannon leading to the hanger or the left teleporter which leads to the bridge. the man cannons both lead to the center of the beach. (which is where you will land after using the mac gun. Hanger, with ramp leading down hanger ramp with hallway on the right leading to MAC gun (man cannon), which is where the flag is. MAC GUN/ flag area. man cannon lands you in the middle of the beach. Lower deck features Canteen/mess hall: which is accessed via some stairs to the hanger ramp. Corridor: leading from mess hall to crytotube room, and armoury Cryotube room: which is where the bomb arming place is. (teleporter arch is meant to be the shield testing thing!) Armoury which leads from the coridor and cryotube room to the bridge. Bridge: with teleporter leading to left side of beach It supports 1 flag/bomb, team slayer and invasion, I wouldnt mind some feedback on how it plays as I have only been able to play 1v1 on it so far seems ok though although I would say that! and any other feedback would be great also one more thing it lags sometimes in forge, but seems to be fine in custom games, even split screen seemed ok
I really love your large hangar ramp and the sheer size of the map but there could be some more detail. You got the look of the pillar down but certain areas seem a bit too boxy or void of detail. Good work though.
I actually played a game on this sometime in the past. It was actually a lot of fun to mess around with (if you aren't looking for an overly serious game : P). Well, the aesthetics are "off the jeezy". Everything, and I mean everything looks realistic and giant to the point where I qustion the existance of your life outside of Halo. Really, the tipping point for me was the destroyed vehicles you can see from the underside of the ship. It created a realistic war-like setting that added a feeling of the map's world existing even outside the ship. Congratulations, Fish. Cheers, HarisSales.
I really did like the original version. I liked the fact that it looked EXACTLY like the Autumn and you made it playable. Now, this. This is like taking what I could have ever dreamed of the map and making it real. I like the fact you put cryo tubes in this map. The mess hall is cool too. And the way you made the corridoors, it looks the same as in the autumn instead of just vanilla hallways. The size is big... Making it even more realistic. To bad you can't get the actual size. Well, good map! Let's get to grading. Aesthetics- 10/10 Playability-7/10 Realisitc- 9.5/10 Grade: B+ Nice job!
Thanks everybody I had to skimp on the detail in some areas due to the size of the map, there was so much I wanted to include, so anything I didnt think was totaly nescessary got deleted and the budget was used elsewhere! thanks for noticing the corridoors they were something i really wanted to include that I felt was missing from the first version. kinda one of my favorite areas now! The first time I saw the 1.1 version, I fell in love with making ships in forge world. In other words, your work is an inspiration. What really did it for me is when I saw the glass over looking the CRYOtube. I mean really, you took so much from the real Autumn and threw it in this one. This ship has got to be one of the best in halo reach, and probably will be for a while.
Thanks I'm really glad its been a inspiration to somebody. I hope to see some of your Forge maps on here sometime I tried to take as many parts from the original Autumn as I could (or at least as many locations as I remembered!) I did make a version with a engine room, made purely for invasion. But it was stretching the forge budget to thin and wasnt very good. in the end I gave up and expanded this one somehow and included Invasion on this instead
Really good map but I really wish that it had some sort of back end. Right now it's just a gaping hole.
Amazing map! I have to ask however When you are making a ship, do you start with the exterior or the interior, because I am going to try making a ship or ten in forge myself, so I need advice, because mine SUCK! And who better to ask than the maker of this amazing map?!

That's quite an awesome map! To Orviden, when I make a ship, I start with the exterior of a large feature; Ex: a Hangar. Then I move on to whatever my plan says is connected to it. Then at the end, I spruce up the outside if it's blocky. IDK what grim does though...
Hi, It was pretty evident about half way through that there would be no way of finishing the rear of the ship (it would take something stupid like 8 colusium walls or something!). theres no reason to go there in game anyway. death barriers stop you going near the rear of the ship. I usually start with the exterior, and then fit the inside in the Autumn was a bit differnt, This was the first map I made in forge, I had it as a idea in my head but I really didnt intend to make this first off! I was just messing round with the peices and realised what was possible and after a couple of hours I had made the front section. then I worked backwards doing interior and exterior as I went. there was a LOT of alterations though after the basic structure was complete!
I know what you mean, you have always to choose, between more details outside or more details inside the ship. I know what Im saying I created a Pillar of Autumn myself, trying to balance the grade of detail everywhere (outside/inside). Your design is realy breathtaking concerning the hull. Have a look on mine, its a compromise to allow gameplay too. Greetings
It's a really nice forge, especially on the interior. I loved the replica mastercheif cryo pod room from the start of Halo CE. Really is a pity you couldn't finish the back half, and it lags pretty badly when you view it from the outside due to the stretched budget. The detail on both the outside and inside of the ship is amzing though. Great work.
well done. seen some bad Autumn,s before but this is great(I used proper grammar). I like how you thought it was important to put the MAC. looks nearly identical.

Wow, love the map. Im new to this site and ive been working on a ship map myself. any tips or tricks?
Good map, I was wondering about it since the time my friend recommended to me and when I downloaded it. "What a great map!" I really find this map a great work of art but I was thinking, I noticed it works for invasion but when I played Halo: CE I noticed the comparison in size. I thought maybe you could make a crashed Pillar of Autumn for a map for invasion. Also about the vehicle hanger... I was wondering if you could add an extra teleporter or something to allow the warthogs to get down to the ground floor without getting them damaged during Invasion and what ever other gametype you can think of for the Pillar of Autumn. Other than that this is a very well made map. Good Job!
