I've got Tritton AX 720's and anytime I BARELY touch the Jack into my Controller, it scratches. I was wondering if this has to do with my controller or my headset, and if theres a fix for it?

EDIT/PS: I HOPE this is the right section, it's kind of gaming related, but I wasn't sure. =/

I think the connection is just getting faulty do to wear and tear. How old are they? My Beaches do the same thing.

Really not all that old, maybe a few months or so.

PS: Late response is late. :(

My trittons, if the jack-to-controller wire touches my clothing, an awful static starts playing over my mic. Also, the mic button turns itself off sometimes, even though it's hanging upside down, I have no idea why.

it's probably just interferrance... I'll bet you have a speaker system nearby which is omitting dodgy radio signals which are being picked up by the microphone and it comes across as scratching. My sound system does the same thing and occasionally it crosses with my wireless headset and that makes a crap scratchy sound too..

you could fix it by wrapping the wire in something... can't remember what shields it properly though, try wrapping tinfoil around the cable and then celotape some tissue paper over the top of it to pad it out... it should silence the scratching a bit... or amplify it more. I really can't remember :p

If the jack is a not a fixed to the controller jack, as in it can twist if twisted, then make sure the cables leading to it are untwisted and have enough lea-way in them so the cable wont be pulling out.
