    So I'm looking through my programs installed on my computer, and I noticed I have Java 6 Update 6, 7, and 23 installed. Do I need 6 and 7 if I have 23?

    I only have Java 6 and everything works

    Un-install all the installs, then install the latest. All you need is the latest. The latest version updates a bit better than the older versions too, so it wont have a load of crappy old versions installed too.
