Recently the qustion has come up on how to geomerge vehicles. After some playing around in Forge I've finally figured out how!

    You will need:
    -A vehicle of your choosing
    -A set of teleporters
    -A small bit of patience

Step 1: Figure out which vehicle you would like to geomerge (with every est I did the Revenant just exploded, but you can still try it). The bigger vehicles work best, but the Mongoose is the only really hard one to geomerge. The Falcon and Scorpion are by far the easiest.

Step 2: Place a teleporter receiver at the locatoin that you would like the vehicle to geomerge, make sure it can teleport that vehicle. Place another teleporter, this time a sender, and make sure it can teleport your vehicle.

Step 3: Drive your vehicle into the teleporter. It may take a couple tries to get the vehicle just how you want it and you may be killed, this won't matter as long as the vehicle stays intact. You will now have a vehicle that geomerged into the ground, if not keep trying. You can try flipping the vehicle before you go through the teleporter to make it merge upside down or side ways. To make the vehicle spawn there just pick it up with Forge mode and let go without moving it.

There you go! You can now geomerge vehicles and incorporate them into future maps!

Note: Vehicles may unmerge if you merge the wrong part of the vehicle, vehicles will most likely shake a lot when a player tries to flip it or sometimes touch it.

But wouldn't the vehicle just spawn at the original spot you put it in, once you leave Forge? To the best of my knowledge, simply driving a vehicle in Forge will not change where it spawns.

This is interesting. I found with the golf ball and soccer ball that if you try to merge them into a block, it won't work. But once you have it placed where you want it, you can merge the block into the ball. Have you tried that with vehicles? The physics on each need to be PHASE.

In one case I merged the antenna into the golf ball to make it look like a radar dome on top the control tower of my aircraft carrier. It looked good from a distance, and decent up close.

Are thinking about doing a vid or taking some photos? It could be very helpful.

You can't change vehicle physics, so that wouldn't work.

A vid is out of the question until I get Bungie Pro (it's my b-day tomorrow so that's a possibility). Maybe some pics later.

Thankyou, gabotrons quest to find a geomerged vehicle may come to an end. I might keep this on mind for future projects

THis was actually found because of his quest. This could be usefull if you want to make a junkyard or a crash site.

Exactly ; ), I have succesfully merged the botton of a wraith's "wing", I think I need more practice, I'm currently trying to merge half a wraith on my map, located by the coast and that's why a vid should be usefull, some fellow forgers may render it for you.

How are you going to get the footage? Via Bpro rendering or capture card?

What heppens when you get into the vehicle that is geomerged? Does it just rise up out of the ground or stay there? Or can you not get in merged vehicles?

The vehicles will stay, though they might jiggle around for a bit.

This has potential for static turrets. I assume somebody can get in the gunner seat without the vehicle reacting too much?

I think that's what gabotrons was initially trying to do like a rocket hog merged with some rock On the ground so it's like a rocket turret. Which would look sick
