    Map Name: Discension V2 (Map name is still called Discension I just put V2 to show that it is an updated version and not the same old map that I posted twice).

    Rock formation on orange base. Not a total match but serves the same purpose as the green base rock formation.

    Description:
    This is an updated version of the map Discention that I had made in the past, this map could be big enough to be a 8v8 map with the multiple levels it has but for sure its a 4v4 or 6v6 map. There are 4 Health Packs on the map 1 in each base (red,blue) and 1 in each side base (green,orange). This map is compatible with almost all game types (i.e CTF, Oddball, Headhunter ect...). Grav lifts have been placed around the the bottom floor for easy access to the upper levels and you are able to get on top of any structure except for the rocks of course. Boundaries have been place to make sure players stay within my play area.
    I have made a couple changes starting of with adding a little more cover up top not to much but if you happen to get fired upon while being up top there are a few place to duck out and recharge your shield.
    I have fixed a couple bridges that leads up to the main bases they look a lot smoother and looks like just one bridge instead of seeing pieces jutting out beneath the walkway
    and instead of it being a small bridge on the first level that leads to each main base it is now a ramp and as I said before its to give it a smoother and nicer look.
    on a decorative note I've added a few more struts on the bottom of each main base and added more large braces that span the top of each side base for decorative and game strategy purposes.
    I've also tinkered around with the special effects that have been given to us and I decided to put in Juicy because I like how it brightens and enhances the colors, everything seems more vivid and alive, the grass is actually green and the dirt is actually brown and I think it compliments the map well.
    I added a couple more DMR's to the map located by the ramp that leads up to the mounted machine gun and 2 needlers that are located in each side base, I've also moved the plasma grenades around and are now located near each entrance to both side bases and fixed the spawn times of the weapons to match those of bungies matchmaking maps.
    There are now a couple coliseum walls that cut off access to the cliffs so players don't accidently run off the edge of the cliff.
    And lastly the map is still mostly symmetrical with the exception of one of the bridges where I had to go around the rock face nothing I could do about that.
    On a side note I'd like to point out my favorite feature of the special effect that I put in, if you look at the first picture with the mountains in the background you'll notice that it has been enhanced and is more visible. I never really noticed it or payed attention to it in my previous version of this map and just I think its a cool feature of the special effect

    Very nice description, and it's a very good map. Creative use of pieces, and a varying display of the forge palette.

    Thanks man I was hoping to get a compliment like that, spent a fair amount of time getting everything just how I want it and I do have a few more ideas but budget restrictions and running into the troublesome frame rate problem are the only things holding me back.

    Did you purposely spell "descension" incorrectly? Anyways, it's definitely a unique map in terms of appearance and coloring by use of orange and green lights. My main suggestion would be adding rocks to the orange base to make it the same as green, which isn't removable due to being part of Forge World.

    yes I did spell it wrong intentionally it was going to be called Discension from the beginning and yea even if all it is just for aesthetics I will look into trying to replicating the rocks on green base for orange base and if it looks good it will stay.

    It's not necessarily just for the aesthetics. If it's supposed to be symmetrical, having that rock formation on the green side causes it to play differently in that section than in the orange base. It means you can't strafe along that area like you can in orange and also gives you a decent height advantage when using the DMR or sniper. Definitely give it a shot.

    hmm yes I see your point a symmetrical map was my intention, it only seems right to have a game on an even laid out map. I'm gonna work on it now try and create the same shape for the orange side and hopefully get a link up for the people
