Okay so i hope I'm posting this in the right place, if not, please move this thread So I was trolling Youtube today and found something that is so simple, yet so FUN! Its called.. get ready.. FORGE HORSE! Geoff and Jack from Rooster Teeth deserve all credit from this, i take none whatsoever. heres a link to the vid that inspired me YouTube - Halo: Reach - Achievement HORSE #4 So i was thinking, "what if there was a Forgehub section devoted to these map types?!" I love making these maps, some friends and I were doing it earlier tonight. Theres no real way to "keep score" you have to use the honor system but its really a party game, all about the fun! So weigh in, tell what you think, and lets get some ideas going! (If you guys want to make some maps and post them in here, that'd be awesome, I'll start that 1st thing tomorrow)
The main problem with a forgeHub horse is because of the honor system involved. Jack and Geoff do it in forge and as such could delete pieces if they wanted too. So if you have a small group of friends you can trust, yeah some of the H.O.R.S.E maps are pretty fun. BTW you can find all of the H.O.R.S.E maps used in the roosterteeth videos on a fileshare they created for horse.
When possible, bump old threads instead of making new ones. Unless of course you have nothing useful to add to the discussion thus your bump post would be counted as spam. /sarcasm
this would be pretty awsome. tournaments could be held and all. my only problem is that it'd eat up so many of my file share slots =(.
It wouldn't be too hard to create a scoring system for this. Why not make it rally? Make it all in one large map, with a maximum of 6 sections. At the end of each section, have a receiver node blocked by fusion coils as well as a checkpoint. That way, once someone gets to that section, it can be unblocked and the checkpoint is moved to the next section. This initial spawn area would look like this: _________ Begin first challenge _________ First teleporter boundaries _________ Second teleporter boundaries _________ Fourth teleporter boundaries _________ Fifth teleporter boundaries _________ Sixth teleporter boundaries _________ Initial spawn and respawn That way, when someone get the checkpoint on the receiver node, they unblock the teleporter, and since the boundaries are so big, there's no way for the person to get to the first trial again before they are teleported to the second trial (and so on and so forth with the remaining trials).
