The Moran here, long time lurker and huge forger. But this is my first reach map and one of my first published maps in general. Escalation This map was made for the 2v2 Throwdown comp, however plays CTF and supports 4v4 (I advise 3v3 at most however) Team slayer. But 2v2 is its stomping ground. I don't like talking much but a brief history would be that I was based loosely on Guardian (very. trust me on this) when I made it on Halo 3, however never truly finished. When the 2v2 forge comp rolled in I thought "hey, why not pick up the old plans and go?" and that I did; and here we are.It has changed alot since then however I think only for the better. Now to what everyone has scrolled past this bit of text for - pictures (no action shots as thats all built in): Your spawn room Turn left out of your spawn... (pistol spawn on the bottom of ramp) Turn right go straight ahead (in the room is the grenade launcher!) aka center bottom center middle (grav hammer spawn) Center top (and top of each lift - on which has a plasma grenade) Top to one side (remember turning right at the start? that man cannon lands here) Overview - one half which is symmetrical to the other This is the CTF flag capture/spawn point Total over view Also, Unsure if you want to DOWNLOAD my map? This is a good map, variety of weapons and good map layout make it fun and replayable. Health packs, spawns and weapon placements are all good and balanced, spreading the action throughout the map, although the top central room is a bit campable if the grav hammer is obtained, although the second power weapon - the grenade launcher - can counteract this. (Side note: have you considered switching the grav hammer and grenade launcher?) This map encourages team work, and is equally suited to 2v2 and 3v3. Certain areas of the map are under utilized in slayer, although this is much less the case in CTF. From my experience this map works well on 2 player splitscreen with no issues, but glitches a bit on 4 player splitscreen. 8/10 - I would recommend you try it.
I actually really enjoyed playing this map with you. The centre piece was what I liked especially and it housed a very different CTF game. Judging from your latest conquest map I'm looking forward to seeing what you forge in the future mate!
