This quaint little town has been infected with a zombifying virus. Cliffs Edge (you town) has been cut off from the outside world, and every night the infected come out to feed... on you. can you survive the hungry horde of zombies drooling over your flesh? if you can survive until morning, then you may have some hope.... find some weapons, and kick some zombie ass!

map is best played with undead horrors, but is compatible with infection, and safe havens.

    undead horrors game type

this game type was created for Cliffs Edge Horrors
zombies and humans have the same speed, but humans have slightly decreased jump height, while zombies can jump higher than normal. 1 hit melee kills for humans and zombies. zombies have no shields,
you start off with a magnum, but you can find shotguns, assault rifles, dmr's and more magnum ammo around the map. (guns only in game-play if using my custom "gametype") booting is disabled, and friendly fire is turned off, so no more worrying about shooting a fellow human. but be aware that there is a reduced radar, zombies can sneak up on you...
word of the wise... camping is fairly ineffective, and you are easily ambushed and picked off....

    guns on map

    shotgun x 8

    dmr x 8

    magnum x 7

    assault rifle x 4

    sniper rifle x 1

this small shack on the outskirts of town is were it all started, when a meth lab went horribly wrong...

the virus quickly spread through-out the entire town

    from end to end....

even those, surrounded by wealth had soon succumb to the horrible virus.

some survive, but ireverably their numbers dwindle day by day...

but less chat, tiss almost night...

and the zombies will be hungry after a long day of sleep...

i hope you enjoy your stay at Cliffs Edge.....

An overview might help people get a better understanding of the map. One thing I see being a big problem is the ability to get on certain roofs. In successful zombie maps, there should be, at the very least, two ways to get everywhere. If not, the zombies need a substantial damage and/or speed increase. I'd elaborate but I don't have much time. Otherwise, the aesthetics look pretty good, though I'd suggest making it look more natural. Very few towns are enclosed by massive gray walls.

    Well this map does look okay, but it does need more accesability (spell fail) for the infected. like in the post above meh the zombies should have at least 2 entry ways to everywhere or be ballenced out via;
    -increased damage,
    -increased speed,
-shear numbers [a hard one to pull off but i've figured it out ;)]
    -low ammo count

I recomend the two top, but thats just me.
Also, could we have more information on the gametype to go alongwith this? and do the humans just camp right off the bat or something else? P.S. The gloomy affect makes it look dull in my opinion. :/

thanks for the info, but you can get on the roofs, and there are many ways to get through widows and from place to place! so your fears are not to be feared... and ill get on to info about the gametype for the map (very important[thanks!])!
the giant walls are to stop noobs from trying to leave the town, (happens all the time) becuase there are "2" ways to get up high near the walls!

    Edited by merge:

the new information about the gametype will be updated this sunday.

That's what kill barriers are for. Use soft ones as a warning and if you're really worried about it put hard kill barriers a little farther out. I'll try this map out soon.

well then it looks cheep with the open area.... but maybe ill shrink the walls, and in the many games Ive played, only once in a game of only 4 did anyone ever, ever survive the whole 4 minutes of one round, and that shows no need for sheer "numbers", or any other acsesory for the zombies.
