Some people don't know how to use it. My meaning is those people who click on the rep button, and then type a comment, and then submit. That's wrong. That's giving them 0 points in either direction, and usually annoys people when they get rep for 0 points. Step 1: There is a rep button below every post if the user doesnt have disabled rep (a few admins have this). Let's use a post by Furious D. Step 2: Click on it. Select whether or not if you want to give them bad rep or good rep. Type your comment and click submit. Step 3: Then you get this message (which can be frightening if you just gave some one bad rep). Have fun. I encourage you to use the rep function whenever possible, such as when some one says a funny comment, gives a good tutorial, good map, bad map, annoying comment, or whenever. HAAAVE FUNNN
were you trying to get rep from this guide? well anyways, nice guide but i already knew how. At least this helps people who don't know how to use it.
it depends on the rep of the person who reps you eg. if i repped you up, it would have more effect than if polished lake repped you up because i have a better rep than him at the moment.
yeah, there is no point, especially since new members start with +10 rep, but old FH members don't get any.
Don't worry about it. The Loyals+ Rep is more important, which is why the normal members can't shove it out whenever someone says "+REP ME BIATCH!" So Don't worry about achieving the noobs (not you guys, the newbie noobs) rep. If it's good, you'd get +rep'd by someone that matters. Also, the more rep the repper has, the more it'll affect your rep.
Yeah, but it probably shouldn't count that much. I mean, if I wanted to, I could just down-rep everyone here, and they'd turn red or grey.
Actually you will still receive 0 rep even if they do what you said. The amount of rep you receive depends on the rep of the person giving it. I have explained this before as well. Rep has weight. If I rep you, its worth more than someone else who is not as awesome as me. The same goes for negative rep.
