Haven't been on here in a while, wondering if I could get some quick-ish feedback on my entry for Roosterteeth's RvB Revelation artwork contest:

Its too heavily blurred/smudged, as much of the characters are distorted in some way, the rightmost doesnt even have a head. The lightning effect is cool, but given its length, it seems rather flat. Also, it does not reflect its light off onto the characters, which is unrealistic and again makes it look like something that is casually added in.

There is not a very clear focal point of the image.
The depth is a bit skewed by the heavy blurring/smudging.
    Lighting needs improvement.
Effects aren't that great, as explained above

I'll keep that in mind next time I do something like this. This was my first piece of any sort in a few months, and anyways the entries are closed now so it looks like this is final. Plus, Tex has her head tucked down forwards, it looks like that in the original as well.

The smudging is way overdone. It might be good to blur the background as if it is a result of the focal length, because that will bring most attention to the spartans. If you do this, select different areas that are different distances from the camera to blur different amounts thus keeping it realistic. The spartans, unlike the background, should not be blurred in the slightest. A final note, spartans=focal point=brighter; background=insignificant=darker. It's really weird how the turquoise spartan is so bright while the rest are duller colors.
My opinion. Take it or leave it, but don't ***** about it.
