Is there any way to set a stockpile game so that attackers and deffenders chage their role each round. Also, is there any way to force the attackers to play as elites?
Attackers and defenders automatically switch sides every round. You should just need to make all the flags team specific. There is no way to force any teams to play as elites or spartans besides downloading gametypes made by Bungie.
Why have I never played a game of one sided stockpile? Why does one sides stockpile sound incredible? Why am I going to my xbox right now to attempt to create one sided stockpile?
Like said earlier, one sided stockpile is pretty simple. You only make one stockpile collection point and give it to one team. Then set it to 4 rounds. Spawns will switch automatically, if I was on red team in round one, I would spawn on blue teams spawn points in round two. Both teams would still be able to pick up flags, but only the team with the stockpile could score during that round.
Then the game play would break if the game type allowed the flag in transit to not have any way point. The defenders could just grab them and hide them.
It is possible to set it so that the flags would have waypoints when being carried. Due to base player traits being the only trait editors, everything you set will be used for both teams. So setting weapon pickup to disabled will stop both teams from picking up the flags. Stockpile isn't meant for one sided games, though its possible to make them work. So far, I believe I am the only one to actually do so.
I tried to make that gametype first thing when I got reach... Sadly you have to ghetto make it. I thought for sure they'd have an option to make it one-sided or not, like in flag. I was gonna recreate Scavenger mode from L4D2.
I actually meant that it is possible to make the game unplayable, not that it would be unplayable in every case. Unlike one bomb in which the defenders could never hide the bomb. As for even playing asymmetrical stock pile, that is like playing asymmetrical head hunter. Imagine collecting your team's skulls and then jumping into the ocean so that the enemy cannot get any skulls...
