So this is it: I'm finally popping my Forge Hub Cherry and posting a map. This here's a remake from Marathon. Formerly know as Shangri La, Nirvana is the first in a series of Marathon remakes I've been working on. Nirvana is a deceptively simple map. Matches frequently become chaotic (in a fun way) and one must remain constantly on the move, since attackers can strike from any direction. However, players rarely feel overwhelmed, as the next advantage is often, literaly, just around the corner, and when it comes to destruction, there's just as much give as there is take. Weapons Needle Rifle x2, 2 spare clips, respawn 30 DMR x2, 2 spare clips, respawn 30 Plasma Pistol x2, respawn 30 AR x2, 2 spare clips, respawn 30 Grenade launcher x2, 3 spare clips, respawn 40 Shotgun x2, 2 spare clips, respawn 55 Magnum x2, 2 spare clips, respawn 30 Concussion rifle x2, spare clips 1, respawn 40 Plasma repeater x2, respawn 30 Spiker x2, spare clips 2, respawn 30 Rocket launcher x2, spare clips 0, respawn 70 Energy sword x2, respawn 105 Grenades Plasma x4 Frag x4 4-12 players is recommended, but the map supports up to 16. Shout out to everyone who helped with play-testing: Mast3r 8hake, RZT Insane, Spooneyray 1, CHROME SNIPER, Mendicant Deus, spartacusthegod. (sorry if I forgot anyone)
To be honest, the power weapons are actualy scaled back from the original itteration of the map. I had to keep reducing spare ammo and increasing respawn times so the gameplay wouldn't feel overwhelming. It would kinda suck if one dude was able to get a hold of a rocket launcher with 6 extra rockets every 30 seconds in that much close quarters space.
