I played a game of TS on this yesterday with Fritzster, and a few others, and I liked it a lot. The LoS's were great and the map flowed amazingly. I loved the bridge area, or the elbows, on the outside of the map a lot. All the jump-ups were nice too. Anyways, the map in general was extremely fun to play on and very cleanly forged. I doubt it has any framerate issues. And I loved all of the glass, the bridge area (stated above) and the scenery that came along with them. It helped orientation quite a bit, along with looking awesome. Although I disagree with your overall weapon layout. The plasma grenades were quite excessive and the lack of weapons in general was quite boring. I know this was one of the maps that were seriously considered for winning MLG's map contest, and it was [is] one of my favorite maps that got submitted. Somehow Fiction won over this AND Amalgam. I strongly disagree with their choice. Anyways, overall, great map. Clean forging. Amazing gameplay. And great (I hate to use this word, but) aesthetics. (And a tree! lol.)
Thanks for the feedback. @The Bold - MLG specifically asked for no power weapons and all that, so unless you get the "Veridian .01" from MLG, it will have no power weapons or anything. The version that they have been toying around with has a sniper. The sniper defiantly speeds things up. haha.
Wait, they said they weren't going to use this map? News to me and I hope the info is wrong, I'd be pissed if Fiction ended up in MM and Veridian didn't. One of my favorite TS maps and this is one of the most solid MLG maps we play on. I have 4 choices for maps to go into mlg mm, and this is definitely one of them.
I heard they were only using Fiction... Though I'm entirely unsure. ^ I'm really not up-to-date with all this MLG politics stuff .
Any reason why this map isn't going to be in MM or will it be. I thought I heard someone saying it was a definite over at TLN but I don't know where to find more info. Excellent map!
It's being considered for the MLG playlist. There is no guarantee that this will be in matchmaking, but there is a possibility. Personally, I would love to see this in the MLG playlist, but with all the other good maps that are being considered for the MLG playlist, I'm not sure who will or will not make it into matchmaking.
From what I've heard, the MLG community seems to not like this map especially the tree. I personally think you did a great job on this map and I would definetely rather play this than Element or Warlock. Also for a MLG map it seems to have alot of visual appeal which I think MLG maps lack. Great job with the map, Glad it's in Matchmaking
