Prophet Created by xSoGx Grim Recommended Gametype: Forge Recommended Players: 1-16 You may remember this forger - he was the guy who brought us our First Halo: Reach Feature. Well, he's back again with another dashing display of a deftly drafted and crafted covenant creature called the Prophet. Navigate your peepers downwards to be gifted a glance of this fantastically fabulous forge art from a true artist, xSoGx Grim. Originally the Prophets of the Covenant, or San 'Shyuum if you're on a first name basis (don't be foolish, of course you're not; they're of a far higher caste than the likes of you), were seemingly absent in Reach. Well, now one is back, and in a big way! This towering leader of the Covenant has got his hands in the air like he just don't care, but the author clearly did because this creation is so incredibly detailed that one can only imagine just how long it took to build; I mean, come on, the guy even has eyelashes and chin hair - and so does the Prophet! This is a map you'll want to download so that you can see it in person because the pictures don't really translate just how large this statue is. Plus I find it fun to go into forge and delete pieces, like the Prophet's head for instance, so that it looks like he has his hands up going "Where's my head?!" - Not that he'd actually be able to say that, what with him having no head ... or being real. (When Grim overcomes that technical hurdle and imbues his creations with life, that's when we should be worried!) But really, just how hard was this to make? I asked Grim (in my mind) to detail his forging process in five simple steps, and this is what he told me (in my mind):Step 1: Sketch the design on paper Step 2: Load up a Forge World Canvas Step 3: Use Forge objects in innovative ways to match the sketch Step 4: ??????? Step 5: Prophet! So there you have it. Now click the download link below and begin the Great Journey! Download Prophet You can view the original map thread by the author here. I'm not going to point out that this was the first post. I love those disgusting little hairs on his chin! Grim's stuff is always so mind-blowing that I want to download his stuff just to find out how he does those things, then lament over the fact that I have no chance at being as bad-ass as him.
yo this is amazing, great map and the detail is crazy. oh and im here with Paulie and he says that you have a giant ****, in halo at least.
Grim, your works of art and masterpieces are among undescribable. When I first saw the post of this amazing design, I knew it had to be featured. I imagen this skill will take you many places and hope it becomes a great success for you more than it already has. Great work on this and your previous sculptures. Hope to see much more!
I was never too incredibly impressed with much of grim's work, to be totally honest. Until now. The proportions and the object usages are just brilliant, everything is just amazing. I only wish that you'd expand your forge-sculptures horizons to that of something beyond the halo universe. (Even though that isn't technically possible.) By that I mean, I would love to see a sculpture that wasn't from the halo saga. Nonetheless, simply amazing work on this one.
Has he done the buggers yet? If he hasn't I'll bet they'll be done soon enough. I personally want to see what he can do for other franchises characters as well as halo's, pretty sure he could do it easily enough.
This. Quite possibly the best aesthetic forger I have ever seen. No surprise this was featured. I wouldn't be surprised if another one of your creations are featured eventually. Giving you the much deserved Premium rank. Congrats on the feature and congrats on being the first(?) to get two maps on the front page.
The scope and scale are staggering. If the Covenant threw a Fall of Reach Parade, that's the float they'd pimp. Amazing macro "drawing" skills and detail, Grim.
Hey thank you everyone for your kind and thoughtful words! Ha, my girlfriend got the word about the feature before me =/ Anyway I'm just glad that people like this stuff and p.s. try not to blow its eyes with that banshee your screen will go 2012!
i went from "oh look, they featured another giant halo character made out of rocks" to "HOLY **** THERE ARE HAIRS ON ITS CHIN?!?!?" downloading for lols. ridiculous attention to detail from what i can see. congrats dude. this is sick
-Step 1: Create five step chart -Step 2: Steal joke from South Park -Step 3: Replace "profit" with "prophet" -Step 4: ??????? -Step 5: Profit! Well done, good sir. Well done.
