Anger v1.1 Long time lurker, I decided to create a map of my own and post it here. I originally remade Warlock from Halo 2 to learn how to forge but this is my first map. Anger is a 4-way symmetrical map with 3 levels. The basement level was created for close combat while the upper level is 2 floors and made more for mid range. The outside bridges that connect the bottom and upper level are more open with less cover and intended for long range combat. There are also 4 "elevators" in the middle of the map, two that take you up and two that take you down. The elevators that go up, only go up from the bottom floor to the very top floor. The two that go down, you can drop down from both the top floor and 2nd floor to the very bottom floor. There is a one way shield that slows your fall so no damage is taken. Shotgun is located in between the elevators in the bottom area. Two snipers are located on the bridge level that circles the perimeter of the base as well as a Camo armour and a Jet Pack. Thanks again everyone. EDIT: I went ahead and updated the elevators. It seems that during FFA slayer testing someone was able to actually pick up the power ups and use them by jumping at the power ups at an angle. So I removed them all together and removed the walls around the "drop down" elevators. That way they are distinguishable. I also added the CTF gametype. At this time I have not removed the ramps as I am still waiting on more feedbacks and we have not tested the team slayer aspect of the map fully yet..
Maybe it's the coffee speaking but I think this map is a great start to your forging career! I like the outside walkways, kinda reminds me of Epitaph. One area of opportunity that I see are the spawns. Bunched up spawns can lead to your team getting spawn raped. There are a couple ramps that lead the player into walls also which is kind of an odd design choice. Overall, it looks like it could be a fun map to play on. Keep forging!
Thanks for the feedback. This map was mostly tested in FFA so far. I will try some Team Slayer this weekend to see if the spawns are a problem. Each team (red vs blue) has 3 spawn zones and I did include the respawn, anti, and weak zones. One being on the upper floor in the base itself. One obviously by the pic, being on the outside, and one spawn zone being in the bottom floor. I will do some more testing this weekend hopefully for that gametype.. As far as the couple of ramps leading into walls, those ramps weren't really intended to go anywhere, I can still switch those to some wall pieces .. I assume this was in reference to the last pic of the ramp that leads into a wall piece next to a 1x1 tall and thin and a 2x2 tall. I will look into that.. thanks!
