Due to the lack of balanced vehiclebased BTB-maps from bungie, I've taken on the project of making one myself.

This map is, although perfectly playable, still in beta.
Any suggestions that doesn't begin with the words "I havn't downloaded your map but it seems like..." are very appriciated and all critisism will be tested.

All gametypes are intended to play with movement speed at 120% and jump at 110%, aswell as DMR-spawn.

    On to the map.
The map spans over the entire island and beach area of forge world. The two bases are placed by the great cave entrance (to canyon) and a symmetrically placed artificial cave below the waterfalls. Between these bases, on the beach, is a structure (Purple) that holds the Banshee and Gravity Hammer. The entire beacharea is mainly intended to be the alternate route between the bases that vehicles don't want to traverse.

On the top of the mountain on the island is a tower (Orange), which is intended to be the central point of battle. Access is via two mancannons (one on each side of the mountain) or via jetpack. The Spartan Laser spaws here.
Below the tower, on the island beach is another structure (Green) which houses the Rocket Launcher. This structure is a good covered pathway for footsloggers.

Some pictures before i bore you:

    Overview
    [IMG]

    Tower (Orange) - houses SL

    Mancannon 1

    Mancannon 2

    High emphasis on tower control

Structure beneath tower (Green) - houses Rocket
    [IMG]

Structure on the beach between bases (Purple) - houses Banshee and GH
    [IMG]

Each teams bases are constructed partly inside the cave and partly as a structure outside - for spawning reasons. Inside the cave each team has a Scorpion, Rockethog, Gausshog and two Mongeese. In each teams base are landing pads for two falcons per team. The outside bases also houses the snipers.

In each of the outside bases is a teleport that leads to the vehicle-unfriendly part of the island (closest to the bases and the beach). This is another route intended to be a somewhat safer route for footsloggers.

Now, that's a lot of vehicles. But they are not put there without thought; the Scorpions have their tremendous power, but can only traverse the broadest parts of the map (actually only the path from each base to the island and around the island via Green).
    The Falcons are what makes the map. Three people are needed to use them at their full potential and there are many weapons effective against them on the map, one of them being;
The Banshee - the tideshifter. As stated above, the Banshee's main function is to dispose of the Falcons. Lots of anti-Banshee weapons are available to prevent those pesky and unbalancing Banshee-sprees.
The Warthogs are just standard procedure. One Rockethog for balancing purposes and just plain fun and one Gausshog that is on a trial. Probably will be exchanged for a regular one in a later version.

Some more pictures on the bases before I list all the items and their stats:

Red base front (note objective placement)

    Red base back (note teleporter)

Red base cave (note safe spawn room)

Blue base front (note objective placement)

    Blue base side
    [IMG]

Blue base artificial cave (note safe spawn room)

    Item facts:
Number of Item - Spawn rate

    1 Spartan Laser - 120
    1 Rocket Launcher (0 clips) - 60
    1 Fuel Rod (2 clips) - 90
    1 Plasma Launcher (2 clips) - 90
    1 Gravity Hammer - 45
    2 Concussion Rifle (2 clips) - 30
    2 Sniper Rifle (2 clips) - 120

    1 Banshee - 60
    4 Falcon - 90
    1 Rocket Warthog - 90
    1 Gauss Warthog - 120
    1 Scorpion - 180
    4 Mongoose - 30

    Thank you for your time!
Feel more than welcome to feedback!

    Planned improvments:
    Increasing budget.
Evolving caves - more protected spawns.
Placing cover around bases and by Purple.
    Adding grenades.
    Decreasing safebarrier somewhat.

This seems like a nice map but even if the map is amazing, you need to market it well or it won't get much attention. I'd recommend making it so you have a thumbnail image that shows up on the forum list of maps (maybe you do already but it didn't load for me). Another suggestion is to make the pictures you have here larger by finding the larger version of the picture and copying the URL from that one so that people get a better feel for the map and will be more likely to DL and give you feedback.

Bigger pictures are now uploaded, but they don't seem to want to enlarge themselves in the post.

    Thank you :)

MOD EDIT: I fixed your pictures. <3

Ok that is much better. I like the scale of the map but the only problem is that makes it hard to test. One problem I could see is that once you are on the island there is little cover from any vehicles if you are on foot. Maybe consider a few small outposts for those unfortunate enough to be on foot.

    Mods are great! :)

The reason behind me not adding cover is simply that i ran out of budget and good pieces. I've found a way to recap about 500-700 budget that will get translated into cover (maybe in the form of another structure) on the island and some on the beach.

The problem with testing is unfortunate. I've only got a few hours of testing myself due to needing at least 12 players for the map to function. I'd gladly host some testing sessions, but i havn't got that many friends playing.
