V2 is here My first Reach competitive map, Clutch. V2 -Aesthetic changes, height variations, and more LOS blockers -Mancannons to sword -Weapon changes -Spawns fixed for now at least -Debating between PL and Spartan Laser... List Of weapons SO FAR: x6 DMR x2 Needle Rifle x2 Needler x2 Spikers x2 Plasma Pistol x4 Frag Grenades x4 Plasma Grenades x1 Energy Sword x1 Plasma Launcher...? x4 Health Stations GAMETYPES Slayer, Team Slayer, Oddball. --Layout-- Its a symmetrical map, and it's of smaller size. The basic layout is a square with intersections going below and above each other, and LOS blockers on some of the straight-aways. Here are some v2 pictures: Ok, as always, criticism would be nice! Looks like a pretty sweet map to play on. The Energy Sword is a pretty good decision considering the map. However you might want to consider looking into the Grenade Launcher (Limited Ammo per clip) or the Plasma Launcher (Swat those Jetpack abusers out of the Sky) as a replacement to the Rocket Launcher. It does look like everything is a bit too open, some more cover would be appreciated. (Than again I haven't played this map!) Besides those pesky little comments, it seems like a really good map to play on and I hope to see more in the future.
Haha well thats where I am going to put Rockets, or Grenade Launcher or Plasma Launcher. It was going to be used to center them but I forgot to remove it! Haha just ignore it for now and imagine a power weapon of some kind there. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Hey I never really considered that, I thank you. Plasma Launcher would be pretty neat as would grenade launcher. I'm thinking there will be a big rush for the Sword in the beginning, which is what I wanted. The multiple levels thing adds to the ninja-ness for the Sword user lol. Oh and I added a decent amount of LOS blockers in the main straight-aways, but not enough, like you said. Gameplay will reveal the weakness. I always struggle with making unique cover (aesthetics wise) I try, though.
