Hello guys. I am making invasion map. Its just in my mind right now, because i created this thread to get your ideas about it, to make it better. Dinosaurs - Defenders Spartans - Attackers. Everyone know mission "the covenant" from Halo 3. Humans were attacking the Citadel on the Ark. I liked the idea that they needed to take down 3 barriers to get into final stage. Thats inspired me for invasion map in Reach. But my game wont be on Ark. It will take place on Installation02 due the halo ring in the sky. Okay so i was thinking about it and thats what i created in my mind: Phase 1. Everything happens near that tunnel-cave at Forge World. In this tunnel which leads to the biggest plain on the map, there will be first barrier. All tunnel will have one side energy wall. Spartans are starting from island and they are attacking two "towers" like in mission "The covenant". One tower is at the left to the cave entrance, second is to the right. If they will capture one of them, the energy wall in cave dissapears, and warthog spawns. Spartans are passing the tunnel. There is one tower, but heavly fortified and harder to take. It will be straight ahead the spartans passing tunnel, and there will be few shade turrets and wraith. Spartans need to take the walkway or go through the elevator to the control room. It will not be so easy due the covenant spawning very close. If they will somehow capture the third tower, the energy field which cover something like the citadel will dissapear. Citadel will be at the beach at this big plain. Now the hardest part begin. The covenant got one banshee, wraith and two ghosts, and humans got scorpion tank and another warthog. And they also got a Falcon that is the hill marker. Yes it is hill marker.! The citadel contains core at the furthest part of it. Humans need to take it and get it to the Falcon. I mean they need to take it out of citadel building, and Someone will need to get the falcon there. When the Falcon will touch the core, game is ended. First phase will take like 5 minuts, and another both will be like 10 minuts each. Ill think about loadouts and traits, maybe you can help me to make this battle more realistic. I am open for any ideas and questions. Map will be done soon, maybe in next 2 days. So ask questions now Edit: Sorry for my bad english. I am from Poland ;] Dont speak english very well.
that phase two sounds really hard, maybe make the tower more open, have less defeses, have no defense timer (gametype setting, hill returns to this time if defenders control it when it is under this time it is 7 seconds in bungies gametypes) or give the offense good weapons i like how the falcin is the core point, it adds two way gameplay
Thanks for suggestions. I am planning to make one spartan loadout really powerfull, maybe with sniper or even spartan laser (!) but i am scared that everyone will use it. Hmmm maybe i can do offence timer 5? That you need to stand for 5 seconds in the hill. But defence timer will need to be 5 too . :| The falcon will have fast respawn so when someone will destroy it it will spawn very fast. Any more suggestions? Btw can someone give me a photo of the towers from Halo3? I was searching whole internet, but i didnt found a detailed and good ones. And ill need to start capaign in halo3 from the beggining due my new account :| So if someone will have please post it
