Hello all and welcome to Pipedream! Pipedream is my first attempt at a race map, and I think I did good for a first-timer (am I right?). Basically the whole track swings back and forth horizontally so there for includes many tight turns. There are two available versions of the map, one where you race forwards and one where you race backwards. Both versions support x DREAM76 x's BattleTracks, but it is easy to cheat. BTW this whole map is made of only three object types (not even on purpose ). Enjoy! Start your engines! Forward Version: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=13032935&player=Kyler X2 Backward Version: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=13032932&player=Kyler X2
Whoa, that looks very chaotic! I like the way the track is made out of the blocks, and the checkpoints that take up the full block look really cool IMO.
Looks like a good idea but seems kind of plain to me. If you have the money, try for a V2. More open and more aesthetics. I understand what you're dying to achieve and it seems you nailed it. I'll give it a go and see if it works for me or not, but good job nonetheless.
@ AnthraXe187: Thanks for the suggestion, and I will tell you that the only reasons there aren't many aesthetics is... 1. I like to keep things simple 2. I wanted to stick with only using 3 objects 3. There isn't much room left I understand I could make more room by deleting the roof/walls but I really wanted the player to have this 'enclosed' feeling. Also I would like to give a big thanks to death2all55 for helping me with setting up the race variant and also thanks to all who have commented!
Yes, you in fact did good for a first timer, but not good enough to stay on my hardrive. Maps turns are smooth and challenging. Im not a fan of challenging race maps. I think its a bit to small for 6 players. I dont like how you mostly used one object. You could have put more effort and aesthetics into the map. I played this and I did not very enjoy it.
