I have been a fan of city maps aesthetically, and wanted to try making one. Then i came up with an Idea for a thread. A thread where people would share building structures used in forge world. The only one I know of is putting two platforms together. So post away!
blocks, use short blocks and then bridges to make a narrower path around the building, like un lockout or the 2 story tower, not 2 wide, but more than 1
Well, there are two things I would consider. First, if you want to make a structure that is not Halo alien theme, then given the palette to work from, you need to use illusion to hide the blocks. On the other hand, if you want to build a Halo alien theme structure, take a look at Affinity by GodlyPerfection as an example of how to accentuate the theme using the blocks, to draw attention to the blocks, rather than hide the blocks. Affinity has inspired me to leverage the palette on Forge World to make a Halo theme map for my invasion map that I am working on now.
i like the large brace personally the best because you can hide the bulky part but still have a very long/tall wall
Thank you I will Keep illusions in mind while I make my map, your post helped greatly. I have also decided to make multiple maps for a city. The one I am currently working on right now is a small market area. So don't expect ALOT of huge buildings, as I am trying to get a small, charming, humble theme with this map.
