Sentinel is a small-medium sized map suitable for slayer and multiple objective gametypes. It suits a minimum of 4 players and a map-bursting limit of 10. This map was co-forged by La7ham and myself. This map is heavily inspired by Battle Creek from Halo CE and Isolation from Halo 3. When designing the map we wanted to go back to basics and think what a map really consists of when boiled down. We came to the conclusion that rather than creating a completely artificial map from scratch, why not use one of the many varied terrains on Forge World. And thus, Sentinel was born! The map consists of two bases sitting on opposite sides of a small river to each other in a Forerunner sentinel-controlled containment facility. Weapon List: DMR x2 (one in each base) Assault Rifle x2 (one in each base) Magnum x2 (one in each base) Plasma Pistol x2 (one in each base) Shotgun x2 (one opposite each base) Needler Rifle x2 (one on either side of the bridge) Grenade Launcher (under the bridge in the center) Spartan Laser (On top of bridge toward red base, this is due to blue base being closer to the bridge) There is a Warthog and two mongooses on each base. This map looks like crazy fun, me and my brother like warthog maps where you can just dominate so I think I'll download this for sure! The bases have a unique and interesting look and the weapon setup looks fair and balanced.Nice rock placement as well. Great job for one of your first maps!

Great idea behind it. I'd say the bases def need some work though. especially the ramps i can see the ramps sticking out on the sides of each other. use some banks for the ramp corners instead.
Hi yeah i like the idea we are thinking of making a version 2 to fix any problems and i see now where your coming from i give it ago we are thinking of redoing the bases completely which seems the best option and make a sort of standoff/valhalla style base. thnks for the feedback
Yeah I definitely agree with you! when it came to the bases we came up a bit empty handed in regard to ideas. When we do version two we'll see to it that the bases are expanded and vastly improved!
This reminded me of Valhalla for the most part, and isolation because of the walls around the map. The bridge made of rocks was a great part to this. I dont know how i feel about the grenade launcher and the laser being so close to each other. If a team is capable of getting one, they are surely able to get the other. Maybe take out one, keep the other, and add two more grenades to each base. For the bases, they have a nice look, but a little small. Maybe expand it on a v2 and perhaps have a sort of bunker. A safe area for people to respawn if the other team is dominating with the warthog. You guys did a good job on this map, keep it up.
This was defiantly a fun competitive map to play with you two and of course, our friends! You should think about posting the updated version up, Ryan.
I don't think you need all of those brace, tunnel's surrounding the map, they look ugly and distract from the ground level where your attention should be focused. Imo just keep the walls plain and add some decorative features at each base's side or in key locations if need be.
I will soon pete let me actually finish the map first i am planning to do a map pack which is taking longer than i thought.
