lovely use of detail for the map very nice use of the walkways over the gap and buildings where does the core spawn and can i see a pic of it please?
This must be the most interesting use of the gap I have ever seen. This is different by having a small bridge, many more buildings and such aroun d the map, and just seems much more balanced, and fun. It also isnt as enclosed as the other maps are. Even the bases are open. And you did a lot of work around the bridge, but didn't base the whole game around it
Thanks! The Core spawns in the middle of the large base structure on the second floor. I don't have any direct screenshots of the core, but you can spot it a few times in the rendered video. (3:25 mark. You can also see a Spartan player pick it up at 4:12) I was very happy with how the core base turned out, and it plays pretty well as a last stand location. Thanks, one of my favorite aspects of the stock invasion maps is how many different routes the attacking team has. I wanted to keep that true in this map as well, so I made sure almost all key locations have at least 3 routes for players to choose from. (2 flanks and an open/quick path) I also made the first flag very difficult to defend so most games will at least make it to the 2nd stage. (Similar to how Breakpoint plays out)
Wow, I saw the overview and was almost overwhelmed. This map is HUGE but there is still a great attention to detail. It's a very interesting layout. I'll try it out and see how the game play works with all the buildings. Do you concentrate fighting in each one or are they just kinda randomly located on the map?
