Version 2 (completely remade) of my first Pirate ship playable aesthetic map. update 5/10/08: I HAD to fix some bugs. Those of you who downloaded this before 5/10/08 probably noticed a little bit of annoyance with returning the flag or getting back in the dragon's mouth. I hated updating this because 43 people have already dl'd the map, but alas! t'was a necessary and MUCH better fix. Enjoy. oh and honor rules are optional. It plays fine with them or without them. Download again below to enjoy a much smoother ride on the crystal ship. short description: A giant dragon is pissed you stole his treasure. Send his minions to Davy Jones' locker, Yar! Ship view: Cargo hold below deck: Dragon: Looking into Dragon's mouth: Inside Dragon: (trust me it's smooth. no bumps) Inside Dragon cave: (where the flag is captured) Ship and Dragon: long description: The year is 1692. Well, sorta . . . You and your ship's crew have followed a dusty map to the secret location of the mother of all treasures. Your men have hoarded the lot of it and stowed it in the cargo hold below deck. All seems calm just before before you give the order to set sail again, but there is a loud explosion from the secret cave you just plundered as the sea groans with the sounds of something dreadfully familiar. . . It's death, in the form of a dragon and you are crunchy and good with ketchup. The people he ate who came before you now rise to take back the treasure and to raise their own sinister flag of piracy. So it has been. And so it shall be . . . 1 Flag CTF Support for 8v8 4 rounds - 4 minutes each 1 capture to win the round. Honour Rules(optional) The ground is water. Don't leave the ship as defenders until your flag is taken (or you are using the "life boat" a.ka. ghost). The offense must find a way to capture the "invaders" flag, and then proceed to feed it down the dragon's throat towards the plant point. Offense can be in the "water". Map designed to not only be asthetically pleasing, but also a great map to play on. Slayer gametypes also supported. I will update this map with infection and assault gametypes as well in the near future. Took me three sick days of solid building. If it says right in your description that its an aesthetic map, then why did you post it in the casual maps section? But i really do like the ship and stuff. Theyre very well done.
this map dose look aesthetic but unlike other aesthetic maps it has a game tipe and dose look fun if u look at it i will DL it and try it
This map has my DL, at first I wasn't all that impressed but after seeing the dragon and reading the description, I say well donbe nice job.
i would've posted this in aesthetics cause it looks great, but the gametype involves honor rules, which is a major negative, but it looks great.
it looks to me that the dragon head is well put together and the ship is to but the ship's sail should you make that stairs going vertical like this /I / I / I / I ___ well I hope you will get the picture
Dude, you just pulled something I would do. You posted a pic of something everyone's seen, then you throw a picture of your Dragon directly after, and I must say this.... it's pure awesome, and I envy/hate/love you for it. (pic whichever one of those you like more) The map looks cool gameplay wise too. As soon as I free up my DL slots, I'm coming back for this without a doubt... or I could go and make a new account to DL this stuff... yeah, that'll work. 2 account just for Halo 3.... 1 month free, the other paid, but united, tons and tons of Forge-nosity... sorry. it's a great map, I have played on it before and it rocks. it looks great, it plays great, and the dragon is amazing.
