    Introduction

Immersion is a map specifically designed for competitive play. The map has been thoroughly play tested, utilizing a custom Capture the Flag gametype with many similarities to MLG 3 Flag settings. The playing field supports team play from 4v4 up to 6v6. With multiple routes and avenues of attack, competitive strategy can adapt and change as the game progresses. This is my most ambitious project to date, a continuation on my promise to deliver consistently improved Halo content.

    What Gametypes does Immersion support?
Immersion was specifically designed to work best with the Immersion - CTF gametype to assure quality balanced gameplay. While this may be the primary purpose of the Immersion map, it is also set to work with several other gametypes, including Headhunter and Assault. Immersion works particularly well for Team and MLG Gametypes.

    Guns & Blammo?
Immersion has several weapons available to the player, located in high traffic areas of the map. Each weapon has a modified number of clips and respawn time, to assure that no weapon becomes a balance issue. Health Packs can also be located at each home base and several other key locations.

    - x2 Designated Marksman Rifle
    - x2 Grenade Launcher
    - x2 Mounted Turret
    - x4 Plasma Grenade
    - x2 Plasma Repeater
    - x2 Needler
    - x2 Needler Rifle
    - x2 Shotgun

Just a heads up forum rules wise, you need an unedited picture for your map thumbnail or else the mod wrath will ensue.

    Anywho...
looks like some interesting architecture and sight lines for CTF games.

I remember playing on this a few months ago. It was actually pretty fun for flag. I liked it. However, I remember the whole "flag having to be home to score" thing was a pain in the ass and I was holding the enemy flag at our capture point and vice-versa for a good 7-8 minutes... but who knows maybe you did something to fix that since then.

Gotcha. That's easily fixed, done and done. =) I must have missed a rules thread somewhere around here, but I have no problem with following them when they've been learned. I'm new, don't shoot! XD heh.

Interesting is one way to describe it, but a picture is worth a thousand words. =D Have a look on Reach, you might like it.

Well the CTF settings have been adjusted to be quite similar to MLG 3 Flag settings, so the return times are very quick if the flag isn't being held on to. I think that without flag at home settings on it reduces the competitive nature of the map. With the current settings, I have only seen a stalemate one out of 10+ times.

ALzarahn glad you decided to submit your map elsewhere...this map need to have more downloads...as I said before: one of the best CTF maps I ever play, the aesthetics are amazing, the water is well placed into the map, the buildings holding the flags are well done with several ways to enter the place decreasing the chances of a team camping the flag, there are multiple routes to take on the map, the weapons are well placed and the do not overpower the map, and the map was just fun testing with you...hope you post your other maps soon from xforgery and keep making the epic maps!

For a rookie you forge pretty good.

Well that's not quite the point but this is a special map you've made here. Some very nice aesthetics (Like the struts, planters, and water) and a great layout. A nice weapon choice, and even better is that you supported it with all gametypes well done.

I will be posting other maps here, but only the best quality ones I have. I don't want to disappoint, after all. I could not ask for a better review than what you gave me. It's great to have supporting fans, makes all the forging worthwhile =)

Heh, I'll take that as a compliment. I really am a Rookie, Reach is my first real introduction to Forging. =) The layout was based on the Figure 8, or Infinity Symbol... What better design for gameplay flow than a symbol of perpetual flowing motion? Weapons were a little tough at first, but with some gameplay testing I learned what works and what doesn't. I made sure to make the map capable of running many game types, but some definitely work much better than others. This map is strongest for team objective.
