    Break Through is a map that I've been working for nearly two weeks, half of that time spent designing it. I got the idea while reading a description of a map in Reach's MLG section here at ForgeHub, it read:


    So I'm sure you'd imagine it would have a great layout, I sure think so, but that's for you to decide. The map has the same layout out both sides, but is not perfectly symmetrical. The map being mostly free-forged with all of the weird angles, is hard to get it to line up perfectly, so let me be the first to say, the map isn't co-ordinate for co-ordinate symmetrical.
    (Seewatididthar? ^ ;) lol)


    Anyways, basically, its a half circle made out of Blocks, turning 15[sup]o[/sup] and tilting 5[sup]o[/sup] incline every Block, making for a constant change in height, along with an awesome circular, covenant feel. And then, off of opposite sides of the half circle, a half circle, 30[sup]o[/sup] banked turn comes off of it, and then both ends of it connect. The original design felt too much like a Zealot remake, so adding in those 30[sup]o[/sup] pathways felt necessary. Also, from the above quote, I decided to make it an MLG map, so anyways, here it is...


    This is a view of Red Spawn from Gold side.
    Where the red Platform XL is, is the 30[sup]o[/sup] banked turn.

    A view of the center from Green side.
    There are railings leading up to the walkway, these are placed all over the map,
    along with the jump ups shown in the picture below.

    A view of Blue Side, you can see a jump up at the bottom of the screen.
    Also, on the closest Block 4x4, the team's objectives spawn, i.e. Flag.
    This is, for both teams, the the loadout camera, just inverse for red.

    A view of Green Side from the Center.
    The Concussion Rifle spawns there, and it is the 15[sup]o[/sup] banked turn.

    The sniper spawns in the lower hallway here.

    wow! the editing on your pictures is sweet! what did you use to edit them? they don't have too much editing either, you got it juuussstt right.

    oh and the map looks a lot like Zealot... almost like you copied it's layout... regardless, great job of making it feel circular with the box-y forge pieces!

    I can't tell if it is the graphics but it feels like your map is giving me sea-sickness. Like it seems in your first picture the left side of the picture is going slightly up while the roof is tilting down. The second picture, I can't tell if there is like 3 separate levels there or just 2. Maybe its just the graphics that are making it seem that way...

    I used the editing system on photobucket... Which says it's produced by Fotoflexer.com so that'd be a place to check out, I guess. And I updated the OP with a picture of the layout, not really too much like Zealot.

    Well, there's lots of height variation, and it also may be the angle of the camera. The roof is angled, but it all comes together perfectly. I wouldn't have angled it but I couldn't make the walls higher with my lack of supplies, so I had to raise/lower the roof in certain areas, and along with that, I angled pieces to fit together nicer.

    And there's basically 3 levels. 1, 1 1/2, and 2. 2 is the outter, circular walkway. 1 1/2 is around the center, raised slightly for more height differences. And 1, which is the center, the lowest. I hope this helps. And I will get rid of the "graphics" possibly, to take away from the issue you're having.

    If only it was actually possible to add such effects to the actual map, reminds me of TRON so much.

    Sad it is... However, if you didn't notice I edited the color of the image a bit, too. And I found that Next Gen and Juicy look quite a bit like this. Well at least they did in my other map... (Zenith, found below.)
