I'm debating wether or not to get this when it comes out. Because I rarely play Black Ops online anymore, because I went back to Reach But then again, one of the only reasons why I play Black Ops is because of friends and **** Zombies, to tell you the truth, **** Zombies for me is worth it. . . period. But 4 Maps and a Zombie map? Well lets just hope I get my Microsoft Points for Christmas this year.
Whats with all the colour? Either way, after an amount of contemplation, I will probably get this. Most of my friends will be playing Black Ops, and they are all getting this. But Im also getting the Reach DLC, so ive balanced it out
I like colors. Also, when I post, I see that all the text is lacking in creativity and color, so I just changed important words into colored words.
remember how BC2 just got 4 free maps and Vietnam is $15 and that comes with 5 new maps, 20 hour OST, new weapons, new vehicles and a whole different experience
Has it not yet hit you how ridiculously greedy Activision are? And the fact that EA DI CE are reasonably generous?
I think this is justifiable as the previous MW2 maps were 3 original maps based from campaign and simply 2 ported for COD4 compared to Black Ops which will be 2 based from campaign and 3 from scratch. Even though I dont agree with how early DLC is being brought out I have to say that at least Treyarch put some effort in unlike IW.
To be perfectly honest, I will be buying the maps. It makes the game more fun and plus I want to play zombies on something other than Five or Kino
The big difference is forge, it adds a ton of replay value to the maps, all of them. Tell me how much foundry, avalanche, and sandbox was worth for all it's replay value it added? Plus we all know why these are 15$, we were too stupid and bought the mw2 maps why would Activision bring the price down when it works? Try the PC (unless they didn't do so, in which case, soz didn't hear about it / look into it)
I'm not sure whether to get this. I'm spending the points I have now on BFBC2 Vietnam. If I get some points before February I guess I'll get it.
math fail but besides that if they would put out the zombie map for about 250ms points i would get it zombies is the only i still have plack ops
I honestly dont understand all this negativity towards the price... the general standard is about 800mp for three maps... this is 1200mp for five maps. So thats an extra five dollars for two maps... which is kind of steep, but I understand why they wouldnt want to price it as an odd number.
Status Update: Berlin Wall The largest of the new maps prominently features its namesake, bisecting the map (there's a hole players can cross through) and essentially pitting East vs. West. There are plenty of tall buildings offering good spots for snipers. The most promising feature is an area called "No Man's Land." This big open space offers a shortcut, but provides no cover and is guarded by automated turrets. Pro tip: Run fast. Discover A large map set in the Antarctic at an abandoned German outpost from World War II. A seemingly bottomless chasm separates the map. The catch? The icy bridges that lead players over the chasm can be blown up. Yes, you have an all new use for your C4. Kowloon You might remember visiting here from the single-player campaign, but the area was rebuilt completely for multiplayer. Olin promises a lot of verticality in the map. To help get around, Kowloon is the first and only map to offer ziplines. You'll get down to lower areas quickly, but you're completely exposed on the zipline. You know there will be campers waiting to pick off anyone who takes the risk -- so be smart about using these. Stadium The smallest map in First Strike, Stadium is still going to be bigger than something like Nuketown. Even though it's mid-sized compared to the full Black Ops offering, there's not a lot of open space. Sorry snipers! Stadium is for close-quarters combat. Olin advises players equip motion sensors or tactical insertion in any objective-based modes. Zombies Mode Map - Ascension Set in an "abandoned Soviet cosmodrome," Ascension features the regular cast of Zombies players (Takeo, Nikoli, Dempsey, and Rictoffen). But it does include new enemies, including Space Monkeys who steal perks. Uh.... what? New weapons include the Gersch Device or "Black Hole Bomb" and Matryoshka Dolls. Those damned dirty monkeys will be swiping new perks that include Stamin-Up and PhD Flopper, the benefits of which we're not quite sure. These sound extremely promising. Source.
