    Verlassen

Verlassen, an unholy island that was bloodied from the blood of innocents. This island was forsaken by all of humankind never again to have human feet set upon it until now. You have been sent to Verlassen to subjugate the island. You must destroy whoever stands in your way to capture Verlassen.

This map is a symmetrical island best for Team Slayer matches with 2-8 people. This map supports all game variants except for invasion and race. There are two bases one red and one blue. The bases are connected by many paths that have different perks to each of them. There is a giant bird out in the distance that you can fly onto, but it does not matter because the map is surrounded with soft kill zones to prevent anyone from escaping.

    The weapon list.
    8x DMRs
    4x Assault Rifles
    2x Magnums
    1x Rocket Launcher
    6x Frags
    2x Plasma Pistols
    4x Plasma Grenades
    2x Med Kits

    This is the Red Base.

This is the back of each of the bases. There are rails in only the back of the base to prevent you from falling off into the water.

This is the Giant Bird Of Prey that overlooks the map.

This is a giant rock arch that expands over the middle of the map. You are not able to camp on the rock arch because of soft kill zones.

This is a bridge that connects the two bases to one another. There is an identical bridge on the opposite side. The bridges are where the Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades spawn.

This is a rock bridge that spans across the middle of the map to connect the two bases. The Rocket Launcher spawns in the middle of the bridge.

There are side paths identical to this one on both sides of each of the bases. Four of the DMRs are on the side paths of the map. The side paths lead to under the bridge.

This is under the bridge. There is an identical one on the other side. The underneath of the bridges contains all four of the assault rifles, four of the frags on the map, and the only two Med Kits on the map.

There is an identical platform in the middle of the Blue Base. These platforms together hold two DMRs, two Magnums, and two Frags.

This map looks incredibly similar to a Halo 3 map. The name escapes me, but it had double blocks with wedge huges on top and it looked a lot like your double boxes with "The new obelisks." Anyway if the map layout is similar it may play well, so I'll try and DL when i get on next, and see. Who knows you might be the Halo 3 map maker I'm thinking of, but I'm not sure. Good looking map though.

I did notice some things that weren't to my appeal however. Right in the picture below, you seem to have a lack of railings which would be awkward in that area, where as the cliffhanger in Rat's Nest from Halo 3 was created without railings on purpose to enhance gameplay. That might have been your goal, so I don't know there. But if it was money issues, I strongly suggest taking out the bird, or at least part of it. Again, I don't know what your thoughts are on it, but that's something I just didn't know about.

And one last thing I am worried about would be the bottom middle. It looks quite bumpy which is easily fixed if it is, but again I haven't even had a forgethrough, so I'll try to get back to you on that issue.

Thanks for the advice. The middle isn't that bumpy even if it does look like it. I was thinking of adding rails to the rest of the map, but I never ended up doing it. If you test it and you think it would work better with the rails then please reply back and I'll be happy to redo the map with railing.
P.S I don't know what map you were talking about, but if you remember the name I'd be interested in trying it.
