YouTube - Halo Reach Racetrack: Side Stream

Description of Map: This luminous aqua paradise is home to the legendary Poseidon. The surrounding stream contains an amazing racetrack only known by a few people in the world. With 7 smooth turns, 1 boat, 2 massive hills, 5 sea monsters, 3 sx areas, and one mythical god, this is sure to be one of the best tracks that you'll ever race on. Beware of Poseidon, he's not happy from being disturbed...........and remember, "if your not first, your last." Quote on quote by the creator of Side Stream-FlotownHockey

Judging by your comment, your 7 posts probarbly consists of about ten words, Give the man a bit more info. Your map looks awesome bro. I like how you used ramps for smooth banked turns. Your aethestics pieces are cool aswell, A bit more info i the post, whats happening with this posiden thing is it part of actual gameplay? I could see this working with, zombie rocketlauncher thing. Keep up the good map making.
Or to put it simply. "cool!"

I find it extremely frustrating when I download a good racetrack and have to go into forge to change the stupid "traffic light" spawn... I will honestly never understand the point of that. How are people unprepared at the real start of the game that they need an additional countdown?

Regardless... this map looks good, love the aesthetics put in, I'll give it a download and unless there is something that I have extreme distaste for, it'll probably be staying on my harddrive.

yea, sorry about that. You can use the gametype if you want because it matches the theme of my map. But all it really is is a 3 lap race with no time limit on it. So you don't really have to use it. But it's there if you want to.

I'm sorry about making the traffic light spawn so late. But I figured that a lot of people could mess around and have fun trying to knock each other off the edge or something until it spawned. Also, I'm just used to doing that since I've already done that on my other maps as well. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will make it shorter next time......

    Upon further inspection:

This racetrack is very well built, it feels like some of the old 'motocross' racetrack maps in halo 3 mixed with the curvy flowing type that are more commonly known. And while this isn't a bad thing, its not necessarily my favorite type of race map. There are, however, people that enjoy that genre of race map. There are a few things that annoyed me a bit aside from the stoplight starting spawn, such as a few shield doors that to my knowledge don't really serve a purpose. There are a few areas that have brief moments of framerate lag, but nothing so crucial anyone will complain about. Overall, with a few tweaks for my personal taste, this is a good racetrack map.
