Kino der Toten

    I'm in the process of recreating the newest **** zombie map installment in the Call of Duty series. Kino der Toten is a mansion, in case you havent heard, and has a pretty solid layout for infection. its got open areas with discreet zombie entrances so the newbie survivors will get swarmed when they think they've found a "good place to camp." So this map will keep you moving, providing you great aesthetics while you sprint away for your life. weapons will be abundant, but lower on ammo, so you'll need to keep switchin' it up, so the zombies will have it pretty fair. when this map is released, i hope it will be the official Kino der Toten remake

    this map will feature the teleporter system but if you've played the map, you will notice how you have 30 seconds after you teleport in that projector room, then you teleport back down to the level. how could I do this in a way where you can teleport more than once per round?

    Actually Kino der Toten is a theater... Hence Richtoffen saying the theater of the damned in the intro to it... also, Kino der Toten is translated to Theater of the dead.

    I actually planned on doing a remake of this but Ill tell you my idea for the teleporter. I would make the teleporter vehicle only and have a mongoose spawn every 45 seconds or so and make it blow up everytime it was used. also I would put a sender encompassing the whole room and have its receiver be blocked for about 30 seconds, then when it was unblocked it would receive them, and hopefully after everything respawned simulating cooldown it would be reusable.

    I threw together a small map over the weekend for some of my buddies to practice on. Just for fun, I created a super weapon room that was only accessible 160 seconds into the match, when a teleporter spawned, 10 seconds later in the room I had several mines spawn. Anyone left inside the room after that time frame was dead if they breathed too hard, or tried to get to the weapons. At 180 seconds a heavy crate spawned on top of the receiver node to prevent anyone returning to the room and AL'ing their way through the mines.

    Its a good **** zombies map. Use an effect like next gen or something to make it feel more like the orginal. Maybe Five could be next?

    Five has s simplier layout so it will be next on my list. the random teleporter system is as simple as a bunch of 2-way-node teleporters lol it would be so easy as well as fun because five has NOWHERE to camp :D

    WOW, 2 Minds do think alike. I came up with the same idea as well. I decided to just put a mongoose. They get out and they teleport. That idea will never work, sorry to be a downer but really. There is never 2 people who play alike. If it teleports in 30 Secs it can easily be closed by the time they get there or they could camp in there a little longer than 30 secs.     Five is uncampable? The elevator!!!

    On another note how can we make a two-way elevator if we do re-create Five?

    I honestly have no idea how to do the pack-a-punch room on kino and the elevator on five, both are kicking my ass. just thinking of doing it on five is kicking my ass, let alone actually trying it.

    Dam if you guys figure either of those out I'd love to know how cause I can't even imagine doing a two way elevator.

    I know. Plus for pack a punch you could make a fixed plasma Pistol holding up small scenary item like a small crate which has a rocket on top....

    Hello, I also have been making map kino der toten, I was just searching to see if anyone had made before I publish, but it would be interesting to see how the 2 different versions are made. Although your version seems to be making the full map. I have only built half and going to run tests to see how it plays before I go further into it. For the part with the zombie wolfs I have added custom power up so for a short wave, they will move like them. I am happy to mix and share ideas if you are still making?

    You know I don't think this is an actual map preview personally. After all, all he is saying is that I would like to make this map. However he hasn't shown any pics or even concept art of how he plans to make it.

    sure many of us have played the map for Black Ops but that doesn't mean that we know what you map is going to look like.

    try blocking the receiver(s) with crates
    what is the despawn time? because then i can give you some more specifics
