Hey guys, I'm new and I just had a question about this map I made. It's a soccer map which constantly involves you smacking a soccer ball around with a gravity hammer. I have set the soccer ball to never respawn and after a while of playing the ball disappears from existence, sometimes in mid air and it never respawns. But if I start a new round it appears back in its starting position again. Is there something I can do to stop this from happening or is it a glitch in the system? I've been told by people that they have their own respawns which over rides it if you set it to never respawn, is there any truth to this?
When the ball moves it is no longer considered at spawn and like everything will eventually despawn. Give it a 1 second respawn, and it should respawn after it despawns. I think.
The fact you set it to never respawn means that after around 5 mins, the ball will disapear, no matter where it is. I assume you set it to never respawn thinking that it will never get reset and it will always be there, but this is not the case. The respawn time means the time it will take to re-appear after dissapearing from the map. As above, I recommend that you set the ball to a 1 second respawn, but there is nothing you can do to stop the ball from reseting, its part of the game coding and cannot be fixed very easily.
