This map contains both an indoor and outdoor settings. Both teams start on opposite ends of the complex (in the separated hallways). As team one exits there spawn area they confront a massive structure. They are faced with two choices. One, they can remain on the floor there on or two, they can go to the basement. The option one people navigate there way through the upstairs rooms and hallways. Once they are at the opposite end of the floor they see a tunnel. This tunnel leads to the other side of the complex. The option two people basically do the same thing. As they enter the basement they also must navigate through hallways and rooms. As they move through the rooms they find a pathway. This is yet another tunnel. Except for this time the people can either go to the outside or continue to the other half of the complex. As team two exits there spawn area they are confronted by at first glance appears to be a simple structure. However this is not the case. When they enter the complex they see multiple roots that they can take. One root leads to a view down the aforementioned top tunnel. A second leads to the top tunnel. A third leads to the bottom tunnel. And finally, the forth leads to an armory (the armory is more easily accessible for team two because team one has more weapons on there side of the complex.). The armory has every weapon that you would ever want. The downside of entering the armory is that the only way out is through a teleporter that leads to the sniper tower (outside). The outside is for medium to long range fighting. Object on the ground define the area without leaving it to cluttered and/or confined. outside Front door Armory Upstairs west complex Downstairs west complex East complex Links: Download Map Team Slayer This is my first map post so please give me your input on this map and how the post itself looks. Edit (by AJ Spartan 117): there appears to have been an error with my game varient link. Sorry for the inconvinience. The only change to a team slayer varient is that gravity is increased from 100% to 150%. I will try and fix the error but until then just change the gravity.
Re: Lost Complex There we go, I merged the posts. That should be something done automatically, don't you think. I know some forum systems have an auto-merger, do we? Oh and your map looks like a maze
Re: Lost Complex The one thing I would suggest is never put a pile of weapons in one room. Even if it is meant to be an armory you really should space them out.
Re: Lost Complex Yeah, put them against walls and such, make them look nice. The map looks like it was just thrown together. And I agree with AJ, it does look like a maze. With the screenshots, I think it just doesn't LOOK like a great map, but I haven't played it yet.
Re: Lost Complex thx for the feedback. ill space the weopons and make it look neat. ik the the pics make it look like a maze. however, it is not a maze. i have played the map with many people and aa far as i can tell the game plays smoothly and effectivly. My friends and their friends have liked the respawns and game ply so it is played a lot. as for the armory though i will fix it and make it look neat. I will also take out some of the weopons to create a better looking enviorment. I dont remember how i have the weopon respawns set in the armory but if they respwan to fast i will have to make the respawn time longer or make them never respawn. This would stop potential campers. again all feedback welcome.
Re: Lost Complex ur pics need something...hmmm... what about a big overview of the complexes there to close to the objects
Re: Lost Complex As I said before its not a maze, its nothing like a maze, and it really isnt chaotic. Because of the height of Foundry, I could not move away any more from the complex. you will have to play it to see what I am talking about. If anyone has played Lost Complex tell me what you think of the map in its whole. i will make changes to accomidate people and make it the best map it can be.
