This map has been edited and the edits have made major changes to the gameplay of the map...also many of the aesthetic features have been fixed on the map...:commando: I will add new pictures for the map soon... THIS MAP IS MADE FOR LARGE INVASION (BEST PLAYED WITH 16 PLAYERS BUT STILL WORKS WITH 10) Plays with Covenant Cruiser Invasion gametype GameType - Downloads: ~2,300 Likes: ~65 Version 1 - Downloads: ~6,800 Likes: ~120 Version 2 - Downloads: ~5,000 Likes: ~140 Version 3 - Downloads: Likes: Changes: 1. I changed the number of falcons from the first version to 3 instead of 4. 2. I fixed the ramp to the spartan's launch pad. 3. I fixed the grav lift from teh first version to work better. 4. I moved the Spirit in the Shuttle Bay to make room for the multipathed center piece I added to enhance the gamplay of the map. 5. I moved the elite spawns from the cargo bay to the outer area of the ship near the cargo bay and also increased the number of areas to spawn to decrease the chances of spawn killing. 6. I moved the elite spawns for phase 3 from behind the structure holding the core to the side walkways on both sides of the ship. 7. I added a bridge to the spartan base to increase the chances of the spartans getting to their base without a falcon. 8. I fixed the phasing of some of the objects on the map. 9. I closed some holes on the cruiser and made it smoother to better the aesthetics of the map. If the pics do not work the map is in a set with all the pics, gametype, and a video showing the gameplay of the game.(video was a beta for the map and all problems in the video have been fixed...) This map is made for invasion and invasion slayer. Phase 1: In the playout of the game the spartans spawn at their base and must go to the middle of the valley to take the point of the spirt or the shade turents. (3 minutes) Phase 2: Once they have done this they must go up the main gravlift or fly to one of the shuttle bays to capture one of the shuttle bays. (5 minutes) This is how it looks with the edit... and the other shuttle bay... Phase 3: After that the spatans must then go to the command bridge to retrieve the vital battle info and return it to the spartan's base. The spartans can now spawn in the Shuttle Bays if they wish.(5 minutes) The elites will spawn near the cargo bay the first and second phase and will recieve 2 more spawns the last phase to help them protect the core. In the phases they must spread out to defend the different objectives. Hmmm... the Royal Zealot class seems a bit over powered...Plasma launcher, energy sword, armor lock and 4 grenades?
ok Im getting some comments that the elites are overpowered...however it is quite the oppisite...Ive tested this map countless number of times...and in the first phase the spartans are not overpowered and can take the object because they have falcons and snipers as I already stated...and the last phase it gets very crazy with the different classes...but the elites need the extra power because the spartans have the shuttle bays and are close to the core and the cargo bays...allowing them to take elite weapons and the objective easily if the elites didnt have the power to stop them...also they are evened out in that class because they can only attack in close combat and the Plasma Launcher is hard to use in combat because it must be charged...making the Plasma Launcher only good for a distance or when facing Vehicals...but I could agree with you on the fact that that class may be overpowered...
the only problem with this map I have is the special effects. I mean it makes the game seem a little boring in a sense that there is no variety in colour. But other than that 10/10
Thanks for the comment...Yeah I hear that some people dont like fxs on maps because the way it affects the look of maps. I can agree to a degree on this but when I had made this map I was trying to make it night time to go with the campain mission it was based off of. Also thanks for such a high review on the map...XD
It's just impossible to please everyone with an invasion map. They all suffer from some degree of 'invasion syndrome'- even if the problems only come from ppl not knowing their way around. this is a cool map.
Thanks juanez, I can agree I dont think I have made a single invasion map where I havent had at least one person complain about something and in this map it was the fx and getting a little lost in the huge ship ...oh well lol at least the map looks good and has good gameplay...
