Random here, The other day, while browsing The Hub, it suddenly occured to me that not a single completely accurate Lockout Remake has been manufactured. Mac Xl, and II Maky II's Lockout are very accurate, but they are all missing things like jumps and dimensions. I'm sure a lot of you, like myself, tweak maps slightly, if they do not QUITE fit your requirement (as in shift a block to remove z-wars, make a man-cannon SLIGHTLY stronger). So Forgehub, have any of you tweaked one of these maps, erasing all (or most) of the hereti... um slight issues, but never released it because well, it would be theft. If so could you send the link to it on your fileshare, because my friends are very critical of these flaws, and always get frustrated when they come across them. Please post and fix my problem if you have such a map at hand. Edit: Some people (I'm looking at you HarisSales) have misinterpreted me. I was asking if any of you ALREADY HAVE the tweaked map, not if you will make it for me. I understand that's lazy. This is a plea to save myself some work, but NOT make any for you guys, and because I'm not a particularly good forger if I try myself I'm worried I'll screw it up.
Um what? There are plenty of lockout remakes and Im sure at least a quarter of them are as perfect as you can get them.
why dont you erase the ums? it was annoying. and do it your own damn self, we have better things to do than fix other peoples maps because they dont fit different peoples standards. we have several GREAT remakes here, and if people saw any large problems with the maps that were easily fixed than those wouldve been smoothed out during testing.
Although it might seem like a good idea to remake the map down to the finest detail, there are a number of problems with doing so. The serious screenlag problems in the new forge require building maps differently so the game goes smoothly, but this difficulty is minimal in comparison to making the map fit the new set of weapons, in Halo Reach, not to mention armor abilities and the general flow of gameplay. It might still be halo, but the game has changed enough over the years that a perfect remake will be less desirable than a sort of re-imagination.
You have raped my mind just now. I mean, I had some understanding what the individual words were, but when it came together...ahh. Horrible. Well, messege me when you make that giant steaming paragraph more understandable. In the meantime, I'll give you my response to what I can only assume are your questions: 1) Why are no good Lockout remakes? There are. 2) Can you make a gewd one for me bro? No. I doubt anything we make can appease your unnaturaly high standards.
Um's removed. It was my brother, and I didn't realise until I posted. Fixed and edited. But Haris and Leaf, I'm not asking you to make one, I'm asking if you already have one made. I'm not lazy, I'm just worried I'd screw the map up if I tried. Edit: Oh dear, this thread seems to have had a rather frosty reception. Oh well. Harris: No I like the maps already, there are many brilliant Lockout remakes out there, but (to be philosophical why settle for for a Diet Coke when you could have a normal Coke?
As stated, there are a few remakes on here that are really good. You just have to dig through. It's hard to replicate maps 100% because people often run out of resources and have to kind of downgrade some areas (not sure for lockout, I haven't personally tried).
