Does tree trade mean I can give all of my old stuff away now? I've got like 5M, full dragon, a whip, and a whole bunch of other goodies. I'll log in to give it all away if I can
Only if I get some of it [br][/br]Edited by merge: Also, why would black (g) skyrocket? Because of wilderness clues getting harder? Its level a level one reward. If anything the level 3 and 4 rewards would raise in price, and deffinatley not immediately, the supply is pretty high, and since a lot are in circulation it wont e too scarce. Although over time they will, but this all implies wilderness clues get harder, which Jagex will probably balance.
What I'm going to invest in: Keep in mind, F2P makes up a lot of the runescape market, and F2P players back in old runescape all had their strength pure they used to pk. Now unless things have changed, I'm suspecting a rise in the prices of rune scims, magic short and long bows, str pots, ammys of str, if you're a member you can invest in dragon daggers p++ A lot of people liked to 1 item with prayer protection, food, a str pot, and maybe a str ammy. Which is why I think these will be good items. Lobsters and sharks will be good to invest in also I think. I was never around to be able to do quests and gathering in the wilderness, so I have no idea what is being taken away, I just know what they are bringing back. INB4 Begging
Magic bows are members. They really aren't gonna move up in price enough to make money. Theres a huge supply of them. Rune scimmies again, are probably going to stay the same. Rune items are pretty stable DDSs you can make money off though, those will go up, and you can sell them for even 100k+ in edgeville on pvp worlds. Also, summers end is all based in the wilderness. Defender of varrock has peices in it. Stealing creation is there, daemonhiem is there, Fiat of guthix, although that's not really that popular of a pvp spot and clan wars are all in the wilderness.
Yes, I've stocked up on all my PK gear so that I'm set for a LOOOONG time because as some of you have said, I expect the standard PK equipment costs to rise with the update. I'm also training range at Soul Wars now and I got it up 8 levels already, from 75 to 83! Trying for 99 range and maybe 94 mage for the return of the old wildy. In terms of when we will see the update, I don't think it will be this month because there was no mention of it in the Behind the Scenes January. I think Jagex has at least started working on it already, because really the vote doesn't seem like it's deciding much. Hopefully that's the case so that it comes back ASAP. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, ugh! I can't wait!
Stupidly assuming cooked food prices will go up, so I'm stocking up on some now, to sell for later. Probably going to go on my F2P and buy as many cooked swordies as possible. Edit* Yep, 10.3M worth of swordfish will most definitely pay off if this plan works out.
Ahh, RuneScape... good times. So many updates now, it just doesn't feel the same. None of my friends go on and I can no longer admnit to playing it as it has been labelled as a "Geeky" thing to do. **** that! It's just a game like everything else. Why is it that we have to be in-the-closet gamers? Anyone else know what I'm talking about? I kind of go on and off with RS, though regardless I definitely voted. I'm not too bothered about the wilderness, because I never really understood the appeal of PKing (that **** freaked me out! I used to get super depressed when I died). Right before the trade limit restrictions, a quitting friend of mine promised to give his phat to me as soon as he got back from vacation. I was so pissed when the limit was brought in since I was just a little nublet back then. I think Jagex said that things such as that would be relocated. That I would be interested to see. By doing this, I assume they would either be removing them from the wilderness, or creating a "Safe Zone" of sorts around the area. Regardless, this is bound to affect the popularity of Games Necklaces and Rings of Dueling which would teleport into an area which has changed. Unfortunately, this could go either way, decreasing or increasing their value.
Jagex has announced that the Old Wilderness and Free Trade will be returning to Runescape on February 1st. Hell yeah! News Entry
I have an obscene amount of money but i'm banned.. Anyone think of a good appeal for 'password scamming'?
Just claim you didn't have possession of your account, or it wasn't you or something. Might work. I don't play this game but I have a couple friends that keep saying free trade is going to **** up the economy. They're just retarded right? Free trade used to be amazing.
A ****ed up economy is what's needed. Predictability (ie. knowing what the price of something should be) only lessens the margin for profit/loss, making transactions less beneficial. The prices of some things are clearly going to go ****-up though, and i can tell people have already planned to manipulate the newborn free-market with specific items, in the same way they controlled the grand exchange.
When I played Runescape, the Wilderness was my favorite thing. I would loot so much that I got so rich from it. If I still played the game, I would be very excited about this update.
