Previously in the featured maps, you may have seen the infamous Citadel rendition. While Reconstructed may have been bested, it’s no pushover either, boasting one of the most accurate remakes of Construct ever witness before. Construct itself is a very polarizing map – conflict is constantly brewing between individuals who love it and those who hate it – yet ehand88 managed to turn this into something that everyone can agree is a masterpiece. The forgotten treasures contest brought just a windfall of amazing maps. About one-hundred-and-fifty entries and nearly twenty that were potentially good enough to win; the sheer numbers of them make us all proud. People like ehand88 took these gems from ages past and turned them into artefacts that we can all enjoy in Reach. Construct in particular, a relic from the beginning of Halo: 3, is a prime example of conflict. At the start of the game, the two teams spawn on the bottom, seconds away from each other; chaos instantly ensues. One team wins and rushes up to the top… right into the waiting arms of the newly spawned team for yet another faceoff. The map itself is just as hotly debated, with people both for and against it. And these conflicts, or at least the good parts of them, are taken perfectly into Reach. Fans and foes alike will find something to enjoy. The mouseover contrast images may be close, but the perfectionist I am, all it reminds me of is how different the two maps are. Congradulations young ehand88. May the spoils of your labour be the envy of every- I'm done.

ur map I like how it is almost identical, but I dont really like how u cant throw grenades into the grav lift now because of the shield doors. Also, it kinda bugs me that u cant put down a flamethrower on the bottom, but i would have tried finding something to compensate for it. I dont remember a gravity hammer on the map so that might have worked, or maybe a plasma turret. Over all it is I'm fairly pleased, but just some ideas to think about...
These maps are identical. I cant see the time and effort you put into this map to make it that good and that much better. Great job!
Good map, but there is one HUGE flaw with it. There is a small triangular hole on the roof of this map, and you can fly through it with a Jet Pack. Once you're up there, you can land on TOP of the roof, then stay up there for up to 10 seconds. It's really annoying when people fly up there to escape from death. PLEASE create a v2 and cover up this ANNOYING hole.
Pretty easy fix IMO, instant kill barrier. Although I'm really against them, unless there is a 10 second warning barrier.
I loved construct, and I love seeing construct remakes. What I don't love though is how every remake I've played on has game crippling frame rate issues. As this is a feature, I pray that it lacks this fatal flaw that so many of its peers have fallen to.
Well I'm impressed with the accuracy of this map I did notice a lot of things wrong with it. The scale is very off in a lot of places, and the budget could be trimmed down quite a bit to make this map more playable. On top of that the spawning seemed very unorganized, especially considering how the creator could have just gone into Halo 3 and copied the spawning directly. I'm a bit disappointed with the lifts, as being able to shoot down them was a pretty significant part of how they functioned. I can understand why the changes had to be made, but it just ruins how the map plays. Aside from that it's a very impressive remake, and a big congrats to ehand on all his hard work.
I loved this map ( even though its few flaws) even before it was featured. It is definately the best construct remake . grav lifts are nearly perfect except that, as generalx13 said, you cant throw grenades up them. good job when I tested it as an elite i couldn't walk under the top mid platform, has anyone else noticed this?
i found another flaw, a long time ago when it was first made.. you can fly out of the sword room and land on the side out sight of others.. and there is not a killzone. there needs to be a V2 of this.. with better killzones. and that hole in the ceiling fixed
Thanks guys I hope everyone enjoys the map. I chose to remake Construct because I knew it would be a difficult task, and I believe Reconstructed turned out to be an excellent map. Looking back, I know I could have done some things to make it even better but I was quite busy at college. Now that I have some more free time, I will try to make some improvements to the map. Thanks again.
OMG when I checked this out first, before it got featured, I instantly downloaded it because it seemed like a really really good remake, and when I checked it out on reach it actually was an amazing remake, just knew this would get featured
This was probably my favorite map on Halo 3. I wish I had someone to play with on this map. Strangely I didn't really get framerate issues on this map.
Of all the Halo 3 remakes that I have played, this remake of Construct is probably one of the bests that works well with Reach's new gameplay mechanics. Bravo and congratulations on winning the contest.
Same, people unfairly call small hiccups being overstated because of their crappy TVs framerate issues with the map. No denying the Reach has some terrible framerate..but most of these maps don't suffer from it any more than typical maps.
